Aki A. - The Morning Star (Progressive Trance) (Winter 2006 Promo)

There were lots of quality tracks released at the end of the year, so not many oldies included in this one There were lots of nice deeper tracks released as well, but I wanted to keep this compact and energetic. The beginning and the end are pretty cheesy, and all kind of feedback about set building, technique, tunes etc are more than welcome ^_^

Hey, diggin' the mix. I really like the guitar action in the first 3 tracks so far, but the vocals aren't my thing. The transition between tracks 2 and 3 is kinda weird because track 2 is so uplifting and track 3 is more funky, but the mix from track 3 to 4 is very good. I like how it's so funktacular from then on, but it's not really my style. Definitely some intriguing tracks on here though (harmonica woo!), way to be different! Lots of labels I've never heard of.

Thanks for the feedback! The second track kinda ruined my plans, I've heard it many times before but got the name finally last saturday when Mike Shiver played it here in Turku. I wanted to put it in this mix, but it kinda didn't fit anywhere. I thought then that I'll make an energetic start and chill it out a bit after then, and I have to admit that the choice for "linking" track wasnt too good, the flow really flats there. Same thing with Back on Track -> Brambledog, I remembered that there would've been bit more energy in Brambledog

But cool that you liked some of the tunes, I'm not that much into this asot/tatw-etc sound (naturally there are good exceptions),it has been a good month and I've found many tunes that I've liked so it was actually quite hard to compile this mix since I would've wanted to put so many tracks here
