i purchased a macbook pro about 2 months ago... i'd never buy a pc again.
that's no good... i'm scared. can i ask you how long your battery lasted? mine has been dead since may or so (about half a year or a little less!). i wasn't aware i was supposed to take it out when i wasn't using it?

Well, I been happy with Toshiba laptops for over last 5-6 years and I been hearing they been making them better and better. (My friend can give you a very good deal on an HP.)
Otherwise most important thing in buying a Laptop is the insurance you are buying along with it. I suggest you get a 3 year expandable insurance with an option of a laptop exchange upon your 4th repair. Its most important!!!

acer travelmate 4650, got it a year ago at the end of december and i've had no problems with it with the exception of a faulty power cord at the beginning

That is the best way to save your battery and the juice doesn't run out making the battery last the time its suppose to run after years of using your laptop. ![]() EDIT: Oh, and if you plan to DJ with your laptop at a club: get the Laptop that has the keyboard glowing in the dark VIA LED or repaint the keyboard letters with the glow in the dark paint. whatever works. (i think for like $200 bucks you can get your keyboard replaced with them see-through letters keyboard and install LEDs behind the keyboard.) |

In fact removing the battery from some laptops(apple laptops to be more specific) can cause unrepairable damage to the hard drive along with the motherboard. In other words keep the battery in at all times the system knows when to charge and when not to charge the battery. |

well thanks for the help! i left my battery in all the time...i think whenever i left it in, the power/battery logo said "charged" or whatever

i used to use aleinware laptops but now i use Macbook pros being able to use windows with parrells so you dont hhave to shut down or using bootcamp you can't beat these machines
