TOTY 2006: 2nd Half Nomination Thread (Closes 27-12-06)

TA 2006 TOTY: 2nd Half Nomination Thread OPEN

Jesus, time goes by quickly. Welcome to the end of the year fellow TAs! The time has come again for us to nominate our favorite tunes of the past 6 months. Back in the Summer we nominated our personal top 10 tunes for the 1st half of 2006 and, with the help of a point-weighted system, the 16 tunes that will represent the first half of 2006 in the final polling are as follows:

Now, it's time to nominate your top tunes of 2006's latter half!

Nominating Instructions
Everyone is instructed to nominate their top 10 tracks from the second half of this year. Make sure these tracks were released within this time period (July through December). Feel free to nominate any tracks that were released in June that you feel didn�t receive full notoriety until the second half. Obviously, do not nominate any of the tracks already representing the first half. Not sure when a track was released? Look it up at www.discogs.com.
Just like the first half, nominations that have various remixes will be considered one song. For example, if someone nominates Airwave - People Just Don't Care (Remix) and someone else nominates Airwave - People Just Don't Care (Original Mix) these tracks will simply be considered to be Airwave - People Just Don't Care.

Please, clearly define your order of preference as nominations will be assigned weighted points. Please follow this example:

01 Artist - Song
02 Artist - Song
03 Artist - Song
04 Artist - Song
05 Artist - Song
06 Artist - Song
07 Artist - Song
08 Artist - Song
09 Artist - Song
10 Artist - Song

If you fail to clearly indicate your order of preference then it will be assumed that the first track is your first choice, the second track your second choice, and so on and so forth.

The point system goes as follows:

1st selection = 10 points, 2nd = 9, 3rd = 8, 4th = 7, 5th = 6, 6th = 5, 7th = 4, 8th = 3, 9th = 2, and 10th = 1.

The 16 (sixteen) tracks with the most nomination points will represent the 2nd half of 2006. They will be joined by the top 16 1st half nominations this upcoming January in the Final Polls.

Please nominate only once and if you wish to make changes feel free to do so up until this thread is closed by an administrator. This thread will be open for 3 complete weeks from 6 December until 27 December. And please refrain from posting anything here besides your nominations. Happy voting!
