-- SSL 1.62 Prob.
SSL 1.62 Prob.
I've been using this prog. since the 1.4 ver with no probs at all. Even the 1.62 update worked fine, but just yesterday I started to get this popup when trying to open the prog:
ScratchLive Application has encountered a prob. and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvinence. with error report.
It doesn't even let me get onto the 'decks' screen. I've tryed deleting it and reinstalling it with the winXP drivers and still nothing.
Anyone going through the same prob?
My last resort is to reinstall the OS, and hope that it fixes whatever is going on, but saving 40gigs onto cd's is gonna be a biatch!
any help would be greatly appreciated
ive never encountered this, but head on over to www.scratchlive.net and ask this question on the forum. They have a staff that will respond to you within 24 hours.
Thanks for the response vision, I actually reported the prob and he said to try this:
1. Close Scratch LIVE, if open.
2. Open your My Music folder.
3. Inside the My Music folder you'll find a Scratch LIVE folder, open it and delete the DatabaseV2 file.
4. Restart Scratch LIVE.
And i'll be damned, it worked!
Just wanted to put it up here incase anyone else ran into the same prob when upgrading.
glad it worked! i guess the database file got corrupted on the update
back up your stuff
You should take this as a hint that you should back up. If you have 40 gigs of music with no back up thats insane. Get an external hd to back your stuff up on. The price would be cheep compared to having to get all your music again.
Allen
ironic you say that because I just got back from buying a 320gig exHD..
Now that prob. will hopefully be solved and i can focus on filling that up!.
thanks for he advice though
nice
I've been backing my stuff up little by little on cd's as i download new music. Its a pain but it works. I need to get a hd to make my life easier.
Allen
I have two backups. The main is on my external then its backed up on my desktop and I have CDs burned.
if it is external hard drive, then it is a problem. Scratch Live will help you on that, try their latest public beta, 1.63 PB 3. See if that solves your problem.
