are keyboards a good choice?
so i've had fruityloops for a few years now and i'll begin making a track only to come to a screeching halt! i'm not sure if my problem is because i do not know the software well enough to achieve the things i want or because the software is limiting me to only doing what its capable of. i'm questioning weather or not a keyboard is the solution to my problems. for starters, making a bassline that will hold a certain key has been a major issue. eg. i want to hear bawwwmmmmmmmmmmmp bawmmmp bawmmp! when i put it into the sequencer, all i can get is bawmp bawmp bawmp! theres no ability to change the length of the sound. is this because i am just using bad samples? if so, where can i find a good package of downloadable samples for electro/progressive/house styles? sorry for my inability to speak in more technical terms. thanks if anyone can help
it might be better to make you own basslines rather than using samples. but getting more percussion samples is always great
.
