Thanks to all of you. Enrique, Mark, Dirk, and Carlos thanks. I appreciate your feedback very much. Without it I'd of given up on DJing long ago. I still want to give up, but it is people like you who keep me going.

If you give up after some of the mixes you've posted here, you are officially volunteering to be the TXTA Puta Bitch of the Millennium. Don't even think it.

This tracklist looks primo fucking sweet; I wish I had the D/L bandwidth here to NOT lose two days of my life trying to grab it. I'll try again at 0400 local time when all the other nimrods are asleep, and maybe I can score it in a couple of hours.

Posted by Zild on Dec-10-2006 20:41:

Let me know if you can't. I can mail you one if I need to.

The average download speed here is like 2 kbps. It'd go faster if I just reproduced the sound from a recording using a harpsichord and a teletype machine. Send it to the addy above, bitte sehr.

No weird shit, please; that includes inflatable love dolls of varying genders/species, bizarre toys, explosives, caustic substances, drug paraphrenalia, living organisms (or their fluids, Packer), et al.

With all do respect...I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'I still want to give up.' No one is forcing you to DJ, you do it because you want to, and generally because doing so makes you happy. If it doesn't...where's the worthwhileness?

Most of the people are aware of my personal situation, so I wont retype it here..but my point being that in spite of everything that has happened in my life the past 5 years, losing a parent, shady promoters, and consequently having lost ALOT of faith in the scene outside of the people that post here (and I mean post..not spam events)...I have not, nor could I ever give up on the music.

I'm not going to tell you to not give up or keep it going, because you should do what makes you happy. You got good taste in music and alot of potential though.

Not give up the music. Give up the politics and the bullshit. I'm selling my decks for sure. Just have to wait and see where I end up in a few years. Thanks for the kind words.

Jake, I don't know your personal situation. But I think it would be a mistake for you to give up your decks. Seems that it could be an outlet for you when you just need to 'get away' from all the bullshit. I know that it works for me sometimes. Just my two cents. Plus, you do have talent and it would be a sad to see you walk away from something that you have put your heart into. Not trying to sound too sentimental. I would hate to see anyone with talent let other variables interfere with your talent and passion.

In that case, I totally understand where your coming from.

Posted by davemolina on Dec-29-2006 23:15:

Nothing wrong with giving up the politics and bullshit. Concentrate on producing like you do...it's good stuff and will get you far more statisfaction in the end.

No promoter can ever take that away from you.

just downloaded, listening right now. this mix has perhaps the best opening track I have heard in ages, the Audiofly track is a thing of sheer grace and beauty, definitely gonna get a good bit of playtime from me. The Extrawelt track is awesome too, definitely one of my favorite producers at the moment. You've dug up some great tunes.

Keep up the good work, man. I hope you won't be quitting anytime soon, you've got some real talent. You've got your own style, when I listen to your mixes I often think "that's something I'd never do myself, but damn it worked nice," which I think is something that DJ's need nowadays.

And I second all the advice about keeping your decks. A few hundred dollars isn't worth giving up the incredible comfort and release they provide.

Posted by progressiveMOJO on Dec-31-2006 09:43:

Ok I listened to the whole set. The first time through, at some point I managed to forget that I was listening to a mix, there was a really awesome seamless sounding section in the middle of it.

And where have i heard this second song before, or something that sounds a lot like it? This is driving me nuts.
