The only Thing I will say is that Paul van Dyk opened with 'Punk' and closed with 'Starchildren' but then he was going to play 'Dreamland' but he was cut off... he got sad and he threw the vinyl into the crowd... i love that!!!

Damm, I only met STARFOX and Bobbo ( right ? ) aaaand no one else, where were you guys ?!?!?!?! mmmm.. well, I was all around, brought with me bunch of friends and then I saw my ex girl, whom well, I hanged around with ... but I had too much fun, and killed myself as well. the DJ's I got to see...
Edgar V
Tiesto
Paul van Dyk
Alex Gold ( guys misses him ! ! ! ? ? )
Scott Bond ( WoW )
Max Graham
Deep Dish
George Acosta
Half of Talla .. or Tall Paul .. dont know who was on.
Carl Cox
Part of Paul Oakenfold .. I think he was better last year.

And I think thats about it...
It was awesome, but it was packed, and for sure there were some 30,000 peeps or more....
UNTIL NEXT TIME ! ! ! ! ! ! !
And Ooooohh.. I heard the Agnelli and nelson - everyday 2002 ! ! ! TWICE yeee
PPK - resurrection
the Southern Sun song .. yea yeah TIESTO played iT !
alot of new, and good tunes........
Ehemm.. I forgot to bring my earplugs... got that friking buzz............

I heard Southeern Sun (ORiginal / Tiesto Remix)

omg! SO beAutifUL!

Posted by matts on Mar-24-2002 18:58:

It was really good! Though after about 7 hours of standing my feet began to hurt like mad... felt like they were bleeding almost, so that sucked. I barely couldn't walk when I got out of the place.

BUT the sets were awesome!

I saw:
Oakenfold
Tiesto
PVD
BT
Sander Kleinenberg
Deep Dish
DJ Dan
Tall Paul
Christopher Lawrence

Oakenfold was _really_ good... he was playing some great remixes of some classics! His mixing was awesome and he was enjoying the crowd...

It sucks though, that PVD only got to play for 45 minutes.. I was hoping for the regular hour and a half, but we all got in late, so ... next year. It does suck though that he had to cut the last song off ... it was a tease!

It was nice meeting you Starfox, and trance control, and some others that I forgot. After a while, I was finally able to find a time slot.

MMmm.. I only saw like the beggining of Oakenfold, what remixed of what Classics did he play ?!?!
Please dont say Energy 52 - cafe del mar.. if he did play that I would really kill myself now for not experiencing suxh thing, but I got the feeling he didnt.. but Im still curious to know.

amazing amazing amazing simply amazing!

i meet bobbo cuz i saw the tranceaddict shirt and then i met jayd...that was it...ah well

okay, there was a bit too much going on and i had a hard time deciding where to go, plus i think it was also VERY poorly planned....you know how they had us waiting outside to get in?? they did the same shit to the artists...plus all the fucking times were off and they took goldie's set off the mainstage and removed tiesto's set from club space (and were spitting lighter fluid on me, ASSHOLES!)

anyway..all in all, awesome

saw all but 10 minutes of edgar v, awesome
saw the last 30 minutes of carl cox, i was on the floor he was so awesome
saw about 20 minutes of dave seaman
saw about 30 minutes of baby anne
saw about 30 minutes of ak1200/dieselboy (insane bass in the d&b tent!!)
saw about 30 minutes of cosmic gate (FUCKING BADASS! had me going crazy, and i was right in front of them!!)
heard kosheen's hide u as i was walking over there to see bad boy bill
saw all of bad boy bill, insaneness!!! bad boy bill was pissed though, you could tell, he had to have his b/f or whatever hold the deck for him so he could stratch, the decks weren't on there good, and the fucking planet b live people kept walking on the stage in front of him, fucking dicks
went to the club space tent to see tiesto for an hour, cuz i really wanted to see hyper from 10-11 in the breakbeat tent, but tiesto never showed there and i guess it was alex gold that was spinning, and he kicked ass but still...no tiesto
went over to the main stage to find a friend, no luck, so saw 45 minutes of acosta, spent most of it getting up front though, SECOND ROW BABY RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM!
then sat down during bt to save my energy for tiesto and pvd cuz my feet hurt so bad
tiesto had me falling off the bench i was jumping so high
pvd had me in heaven...and i actually got to hold the vinyl cover he threw out into the crowd for like 2 minutes, a guy like 2 rows up caught it

all in all....AWESOME FUCKING TIME! still i wish i would have been able to see a lot of people i didn't and i had to cut a lot of the sets i was listening to short to go see others....ahhh...i think ultra should be a 3 day event with only like 3 stages....but whatever

Hey PAt ! ! ! ! you got some of that lighter fluid too on club space thing ?!?! I got some too, damm you were close to me then, I was the one kidd that sat on the freaking bench if you might call it , or w.e and was going nuts when he played the Agnelli and Nelson - everyday track.... ( Alex Gold ) , and I was also pisssed for the reason been that Tiesto was not there, and they placed tall or Tall Paul instead... and ooohh.. who played Paul van Dyk ft. Delerium - For and angel ft. Silence ? I went nutty..
I dont know what Part of Oakey I got on, but when I got there, it was tooooo packed, and was tooo progressive for me, there was better music going on the USA with Scott Bond, it was ROCKING ! ! ! ! ! ! damm goood trance at its best, but I missed that classic been played from Oakey though.

Posted by PatMcGroin on Mar-25-2002 06:31:

i was right in front of alex gold holding onto the fence thingy...some girl wearing the red gatecrasher tiesto shirt was next to me....i was wearing a pretty much all black t-shirt, cuz my friend got cold and stole my soccer jersey...lol...so i doubt i saw you :/

Was a loooooong day, but had a great time! The really shitty thing though was the lack of water stands... The wait was over an hour long by like 8:00 or so. Who was standing near the front for Edgar V wearing a white TA t-shirt and a quicksilver visor? Was right next to you but it was too fuckin' loud to say anything!

It was great meeting all you guys for the first time. This was my first ultra so I didnt know what to expect. I arrived and met kozoo before we even got in line. After I got in, I met up with TC fan and Starfox and JD. We all sat around for a few mins and then decided to go see Edgar V. Boy did he get me ready for the day! I was goin nutts when played punk, dancing like a fool! I got a lil tired after that so I chilled and listened to some dave ralph and waited around for max graham to come on so I could get some water while he was playing. After max I headed to the main stage and got a great spot str8 in the center of the event right next to one of the pillars that rise up. I got some good pictures and had a great view the whole night. I was there and ready when oakey got up. He played a good set IMHO, it was a lil slow but he was getting me warmed up good. When he played Push-the anthem i almost shit myself. Im not a big oakie fan but he did a good job. Then Bt came up and didnt really move me too much, he was better when he was in jville. Acosta played some hard shit so that made me happy and got the blood pumpin. But tiesto was off the chain. His magic got me so good!! I watched his whole set in awe, hes still the man!!! Best set of the night, except the Edgar V. When my boy PVD got up I was rested from chillin out during the tiesto set so i figured I'd dance the night away for pvd. Punk right off the bat had me goin off son... I thought it was gonna be a great night for pvd, but it seemed 10 mins later when they turned the lights off and he didnt even get to play another record. That pissed me off, especially when they said "come see paul at space!!" Too bad space is 21+ ******s...

The day was a great one, saw tons of djs. Met tons of people, saw mad hoes!!! What more could you ask for?

The only thing i didnt like was 5$ a bottle for water and the fact that the crowd at the main stage didnt seem to be too into it. Most were just sitting there fucked up, not cheering for the djs. I did get alot of people into it, mostly cuz i was goin fuckin nutts the whole time screamin my head off for people to get up and dance..

Hope everyone had fun, glad I got to meet, abt, star,jd,kozoo, liquid, star, tcfan, but didnt get a chance to meet dreamgirl :[

Maybe next time pvd is in miami i'll make a trip down to see him, gotta get a fake id first tho.....

We had a blast at edgar v didnt we star? haha

out of this world

This event was mindblowing!! Seeing oakie, acosta, ***tiesto***, ***PvD***, scott bond, and edgar v(really impressive!) all in one sitting was overwhelming to say the least.

I thought it was really amusing to see BT go off of his head like the American he is(despite playlist). The only time I rose from my bench during his set was when Godspeed came on. Like everyone else, i was really dissapointed to see Alex Gold instead of Tiesto when I ran over to the club space tent, but he made up for it later on, especially with Ralphie B - Massive!! And what WAS the last track he spun, it was unbelievable!!

It was really nice to finally meet some TA's, as I made do with a self-made sports bra with the TA logo....swamper, get those ladies shirts sorted pronto!
** A nice subtle highlight of my night -- i don't know if anyone else spotted this, but during Edgar V's set an adorable 5-6 year old boy was doing hand rolls like a pro raver on his dad's shoulders, and everyone gathered around him and took pics while cheering him on ---
if anyone caught that cutie with a camera, let me know!!
It just made me feel so good to see a wide age range turn up, and the whole vibe was excellent,
except of course for the security quips, and confiscating my advil and my four bottles of evian, which is probably why everything started later....
I wish that each stage had a sign saying which dj was on, and who was on next to help with the chaos of the time slot shifts.

overall though, this was unreal.

Just have to say that Ultra was the shit. None of you know me but i was there with Bobo (had red hat + red shirt on, dancing like a dumb ass) Anyways just have to say that Edgar V rode out like a champ, that was prob the best time i had all day. Everyone was good and all but as far as the whole thing goes the Edgar V set was the funnest part of the day. Tiesto also threw down the fire. Like everyone says the PVD set was to short, i think he would have lit the whole place up if they would have actually let him play. All in all it was a good time, definately have to hit em up again next year.

Hey, I got that on camera. Just turned in my pictures to get them developed so if anything I will scan. Was that you at progressive tent when Max Graham was spining? F0x told me it was you after. I was the one with the black hat.

yeah that was me, I was really dissapointed I ddin't meet you guys later on! Thanks for pointing fox out for me. Max Graham cracked me up when he cried out in his english twang in "Aww Fuck!" when the record scrached and stopped.
He made a nice recovery, and I really enjoyed it, though I think the progressive stage's set-up was the worst of the lot. The best stage as far as set up was The Club Space and the USA tent (WHAT WAS scott bond doing in there?!?)
would aboslutely love to see the pics, hope they turn out well.

Posted by PatMcGroin on Mar-26-2002 05:17:

i got pictures of the little kid too....but i think he was with his brother, not his dad....i heard later on in the day he was doing glowsticks too

i'll scan what i can as soon as i can

i really liked the progressive stage setup.....no dancing on fucking grass, plus you could get nice and close to the dj

Posted by Czaoth on Mar-26-2002 08:04:

lol Max Graham in his english twang...he is canadian...
