Snow anyone?

so... Im in London right now and we've received probably 3 feet of snow in the last 24 hrs. its pretty ridiculous. the news seems to say that no where else has this much snow. just wondering if that was true?

yesterday I had to drive to Hamilton (in the midst of the storm) from London. Round trip took me 6 hours!!! It was a horror show!

But, as soon as I hit the Woodstock area, nothing. I got up to go to work this morning, and decided to go back inside and call it a day

For reference, i'm 6'2" and i'm standing next to my neighbours van

I'm watching the news right now.. pretty much everything in London is canceled. Even the city transit, Western, Fanshawe, both school boards.

It's a good old fashioned snow day here in London

Make that a full fledged 4+ feet.

Western and Fanshawe, public schools, buses, cabs, etc... all closed.

Damn do I need a snow-blower right about now.

PS. What is the VB Code for strike-through?

We have the Byron bump. But to answer your question, no. There is nothing really worth skiing or boarding in this area.

The view down my lane way when the plow went by

Here are some pics I took from my house this morning.

Looking South (note the car that is stuck in the middle of the road)

Looking North (apparently the cars have turned into mini-vans overnight)

North again, down the street.

Looking West, between the neighbours house into the backyards of the neighbourhood.

A look down the driveway. DQ's car was cleaned off completely at 10pm. Mine in the back however, was not.

The apartment across the street.

My poor car! lol

Last night going to get Chris from work was a nightmare....I had to attempt to dig out (fell down the stairs, rolled my ankle and landed on my wrist, ouch!), then got stuck (Brad from upstairs had to push me out). After the 5km/hr drive to get Chris, we had to go to the gas station, got stuck in the gas station lot. The attendant blamed it on me having bald tires (uh my car is a yr old, not likely!).

We get home and Brad had dug out the driveway. So all of that snow in our driveway was after 10pm...could you imagine if we hadn't shoveled earlier in the night

I would *kill* for a snow day in Toronto today...

no such luck. still stuck in economics hell.

My Cara loves the snow! She loves being covered in it when I come out in the morning to brush her off... she only wishes she had Michelin X-Ice snow tires so she could drive in it more securely and surely!
