basicly... my pitch match in vtt fucks around, how do I fix it

PLEASE HELP

Thanx For The Help In Advance.

P.S: It's Good To Be Back.

i think its just like on turntables, you just need to match the beat more accurately

when the pitch goes off
i use the jog wheel to correct it!...

but im still new using it for like less then a month
got plenty of work 2 do

I'm sorry, this question is going to sound really dumb but I have no idea what virtual turntables are. Is it some software program of some sort? Someone please enlighten me coz I'm feeling really stupid as I type this.

Yes, Virtual Turntables is a software program, available from www.carrotinnovations.com and it lets you mix mp3's as you would vinyls.

Pulsar, to answer your question, VTT will sometimes skip if you are running programs in the background, like a virus checker. You might want to check this? Also, if you are using the beat-counter thing to set up the BPMs of each track, then you won't have a lot of success. This is totally inaccurate. The only way to do it really is to split your channels up and have headphone output to the left and speakers to the right, or get a second soundcard and do it like that and cue up the tracks manually. This is far more accurate and is the only real way of doing it! Beat counters are cheating!

my turntables are fucked. i tried channel splitting but it doesn't work. i have 2 soundcards and it still plays on both soundcards, tried to run 2 virtual turntables at once and just change them to the varias soundcards... FUCKALL, still playes on both soundcards. i swear the God i have tried EVERYTHING, nothing seem to work.
and DJ-Energy: the jog wheel thing is a great idee but when it comes to changing the volumes you can't jog and change volume at same time otherwise it would have been a brilliant idee.
is there a newer turntables out or not [ex. 1.9] where they fixed this problem or something, i mean for god's sake.
anyway thanks alot.

thats why its easier to use the crossfader on DJ Programs

You can operate the jogdial / pitch control with your mouse, and use your keyboard (+,- keys) to operate the crossfader... btw, try using pitch bend on the default skin... it's much easier than the jog IMHO

try using pcdj red or traktor(traktor has sync button.. lol)
i think VTT is too basic ... esp if you are not using a external mixer ( in VTT u cant use the EQ's in real time.. meaning that they have a big ass delay!)

true!!!
but pcdj red dosen't have any EQ'z
and sometimes it wont play certian tracks for me
dunno why

i just switched over to VTT from using DeeJaySystem MKI. after a little 'getting-used-to' time, i've found that the pitch adjust in VTT is beautiful. and it works great with an external mixer (one with eq's, obviously)....

i've found that BPM counters aren;t that accurate (like DJTJ said) in the long run. i used them for a while when i was just starting out, but after a while i got used to manually matching beats. it takes time, but it works. just keep at it. sometimes i get into the same situation where i just can;t seem to get two tracks to sync (beat-wise). it is at this point that i turn up both tracks and have them play simultaneously on my mixer. i find its a bit easier to beatmatch without the headphones (assuming you don;t have a mixer that channel each track to one side of the headphones) and just do it with my monitors. just keep playing with the pitch....start the tracks over a few times...you'll get it. it takes practice

(hope this helps some)

I tried using that proggie and i just cant make it work very well with the pitch Real decks are much better to work with

I think you just need to get used to the settings and the way the pitch slider works.

lol.. of course real TT's work BETTER! =)
oh and couple of you said that you get a delay when pressing play in traktor.... hmmmm i get no such delay.... or if there is a delay its very small and i cant hear it. traktor is a kick ass program with some nice EQ effect and all (kill switches for high mid low,low cut, res, and width which are great for sound effects). and unlike VTT, there is no delay while using the EQ's in traktor. traktor also has a kick ass looping! and it has the SYNC button which i dont really agree with but hey... its there if you need it.
