Lol, it's a promotion thing, some DJs to a monthly top 10. I'm not doing a mix this month but these are 10 tunes that reall fucking rock and I'm going that extra step to highlight them. A couple are unreleased, so good to hype them, one is a mate's and it's up on beatport now, couple are older and still relevant, it's my style of music but 10 really unique and kickass tunes. This is different than a thread in the MD imho.

So basically, people can start a new thread just for their top 10 this month in here if they feel like it?

That's kinda what I was wondering.. and if that's the case.. We're gonna have an explosion of threads that won't even have mixes in them..

I thought this was DJ Promotion (ie: Sets for download, Club Nights), not DJ's fave picks of 'x' month.. I dunno.. Not trying to cause shit Greg.. Just doesn't seem like the right section of TA.. Just imagine how many threads could result from this..

I agree with Josh on this, but I'm not saying we shouldn't have something like this, maybe a subforum to this section for just Top picks of tunes, basically DJ Promotion but without any mixes.

I agree that the forum description is vague, and doesn't give any rule as such that says you can't make a thread for your top 10. However, it's just common decency to not do it when this forum obviously has been about posting mixes from day one.

In addition, if everyone started to post their top 10s, this forum would be a gigantic mess. A sticky where all top 10s go like "your latest tracklist"-thread in the DJ Booth-forum would be a lot more sensible.

For the moment they are allowed - if it becomes a real problem, rather than just a couple of you arguing in my top 10 thread - I'll see what needs to be done about it.

I like this idea the best.

In fact, I like it so much I'll add it right now.
