Why We Fight
i've been watching a lot of documentaries as a requirement of my education and this is probably the most powerful one i've seen yet, so i share it with all of you. it is a documentary on why this nation has been in a perpetual state of war and the future implications of this worsening trend. for the record it is freely distributed on google videos, but this is a high quality version:
right-click-save
700 mb 1 hour 40 min
at the very least you will learn a lot about how the military-industrial complex operates today and how its influence in policy is becoming increasingly transparent to society.
Here's the trailer for those of you curious about it:
And if you don't have the bandwidth or the desire to download it:
Thanks! I'll check it out for sure.
Another good one is "Fog of War" which is a documentary / interview with Robert McNamarra. He's very honest and forthcoming answering really tough questions. It's an impressive look into the way the military industrial complex grew out of WWII and how maintaining conflict is almost essential to the US economy.
