Official Review: Tiesto at the Docks - Dec 9th, 2006

Looks like I'm the first one back so I'll get this show on the road!!!



MERRY F'N CHRISTMAS!!!

WOOOW what an incredible set by Tiesto...

If Traaanncee was there he creamed his pants at about 2:50am lol at all the old crowd, lol @ all the sketchy people (there weren't that many but some were just too memorable)....LOL @ P DIDDY & TIESTO rocking it out together on the stage

With all that, it was an absolutely AMAZING night, and an absolutely AMAZING set by Tiesto...wow...stormer!!! Full of classics and new stuff I haven't heard of.

What a great night.
Arrived around 11:00 got inside pretty quickly.
Saw the huge line for the coat check, and was glad I did not bring one with me.

Holly crap was the dance floor crowded when Tiesto opened.

I was very happy with the tunes played.

Great night was worth the price of admission and advanced planning.
Was glad that I caught a taxi pretty quickly.

first of all the dj before tiesto sucked, big time

ok the first half of tiesto set was pretty shit, with the exception for a couple of songs wich included moonlight party

As i turn to my friend and tell him TIESTO sucks i see some dude holding a shirt that says TIESTO IS TRANCE - at this point he started to drop some awesome tunes, thank you whoever you are!!

we got in for free and it was set up for to meet the man behind stage cuz my friend SUNQUEST is on the label under the name ELECTRIC PULSE, but apparently the whole docks staff decided to foil this plan, from the start

so i turn to Sunquest and tell him come with me, we found a poster on the wall and proceeded to find a marker pen anything that writes, finally this cute bartender in the back, who by the way was the nicest person in the whole fucking place, gave us a red sharpie, we wrote ELECTRIC PULSE with an arrow pointing down went to the front pierced ourselves into the rammed front. this is when Tiesto aknowledged us and, yes, turned to diddy (wtf) and said something to him. TIESTO and diddy look at us smile and point in our direction,

PS where was the so called lightshow battle, did it even happen

I called it a night after he played somethin very out of place ....an r&b track(female vocals) ....gets the BIGGEST WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT of the YEAR!

Pretty average tracklisting; a few things that stood out mindyou.

That Pirates Remix of his is pretty incredible in a club though - and yeah the R&B track was very much "wtf" for me too.

Still had a pretty good night even though staff (except for one person) were assholes to us.

omg just came back from tiesto and let me say -- thank god for the tim hortons breakfast sandwich; mmmm!

but on to the trance...i thought tiesto absolutely ripped it up...was odd to see p-diddy there with him...is he on tour with tiesto or somethin or is he just in toronto these days? i remember there bein a thread here about a pic of him smoking a doob...?
anyway to sum up the night in my opinion
TIESTO WAS AMAZING!!! MY BODY WILL REQUIRE DAYS TO RECOVER FROM THE AMOUNT OF ASS THAT TIESTO KICKED!

as well a track that i think you guys missed unless i just am misremembering track names (im terrible with remembering the names) he spun 'adagio for strings' towards the end
wish tiesto had stayed on for longer to be honest and that he had spun 'just be' but you cant have everything right!

Yeah Adagio was on as I was leaving; I was really hoping he'd play First State - Evergreen, but no such luck apparently.

Haha, P.Diddy was with Erick Morillo at the Docks last week as well. He's shooting a movie in T.O. Anyway, the sound was horrible at the Docks last week. How was the bass and sound level last night for Tiesto?

the day that r&b is played at a party that i seek to get away from that SHIT, i say, WTF is going on? if i were there i would have went right to the front, gave him the 2 biggest fingers he's ever seen, then book it the fuck out before some tiesto-crazed fans try to beat me down.

i'm not contemplating selling my resolution ticket because of this sinking sensation of a dj. why doesn't he go back to his roots sometimes? play his hardcore shit, the majiks! nyana! ahhhhhh

Yes. I understand that. But why is her paying homage to Diddy?

whatever. and yes, calderone and max graham are my incentives to go. however, since tiesto is coming on at 5, he'll maybe play a set like cream amnesia 2002 (you know the one) and aria in 2004.

Track list was terrible....Hey tiesto ever heard of recent tracks...I will never waste my time or $ to see this wanker again.
