Ghost Smilie Automating Plug-ins

I dont know if other programs have the same issue, but in FL Studio the only plug-ins that you could automate are the ones that come with the program it self..Now my Q is: is there a way of automating other VST plug ins such as atmosphere, vanguard..or u have to do it manually using an external midi out put and if so which one is recommended and what are the requirements for it (ex. Sound card and such)

p.s. FL > all other sequencers, so dont bother trying to be a smart ass..lol

i wish FL would have better wav editing and automation capabilities, somthing like cubase...it would make the program sooooo much better than it already is.

yeh thats true. even though it improved alot in FL 6, it still lacks in some parts..i hope they do something about this in FL 7..

well maybe i dont know how to use it, but editing is a pain because you cant zoom in and out...or at least i dunno how. i hate how small everything is in the automation clip editor part, and also some times i will click the wrong thing or move the wrong thing on accident and it will mess up the original thing i was working on lol.

i suppose i find it too cumbersome or i am missing somthing...

also, i use soundforge for audio editing, but it would be great to be able to just do it in FL: saves time i guess.

automation in ableton is almost heaven

i figured this one out a while ago, every single plugin has aspects that can be automated, these can be accessed by going to the browser and going to current project/generators(or effects). YOu will see a list of all the plugins you are using in the project, and if you click on any one of them you'll see the parameters for each plugin. Then right click on any parameter and click creat automation clip.

thats why FL is so much better then the others... its just so easy to get and yet gives the best results. I wouldn't trade it for anything (except ableton but my PC is too shit for it). I think i've learnt everything there is to learn about FLStudio in the 3 years ive been using it.

FLStudio is specialised for making electronic music. And its simple to use. No other software is like it.

i don't know what more you would need from automation that FL can't do. also, as for wav editing, in the newest beta FL realeased their new audio editor called Edison. It is quite powerful and could probably do just about anything you need it to.

You didn't read his post properly, and thought to yourself. oo.. a chance to knock FL... wheres the reply button?

he said "FLStudio is specialised for making electronic music"

Not " FLStudio is the best for making electronic music"

the statement is 100% correct and image-line have admitted it over the years, albeit not so much anymore since they are adding so much more functionallity
