Favorite Film Soundtrack/Score

I've been watching Collateral this evening, and I realized what a fantastic soundtrack it has. Brilliant use of Oakenfold as well. 'Tis more of a pop soundtrack than a theatrical score, but nonetheless, some quality music.

What's your favorite movie soundtrack and/or theatrical score?

I used to always love the score to Last of the Mohicans as well.

there's this one instrumental track at the end (like track 12 i think) that is amazing, and i forgot who it is. i used to own it a long, long time ago. think i'll have to grab it off amazon again.

I keep hearing about how amazing this soundtrack is - kind of surprising since the movie was so lacklustre.

Seriously. Yeah.

There is very little dialogue in that movie - the music pretty much tells the story for it. How many other movies these days can actually pull that off?

Maybe you were double-crossed in an elaborate faberge egg heist and the bad karma of your previous life is why you are sentenced to live in Florida now.

edit: also, it has been quite some time since I saw the movie - I just remember thinking it was kinda so-so. Maybe I should see it again.

you should. most movies that are action/suspense, and are older, seem cheesy when you watch them again years later...i'm not saying this isn't one of them...there's a bit of overacting, but i really enjoyed the scenery, music, and val's character(s).

i think it's the hopeless romantic in me that likes this movie.
