Havent been to either of those stores in a while, but as far as I know when I used to live in Austin, Waterloo was the spot. They always carried the names I wanted and I bought from them quite frequently, until some asshole decided it'd be cool to show his friends how well he broke into my apt. I lost everything, hence im trying to make deals with peeps on vinyl trading. As much as I'd love to get into cd mixing, i just cant afford that right now.

Im not too sure, but i think i might be getting some good $ for x-mas, so im gonna swing by waterloo and see what those cats have in stock for me I'll let you know when I make another run for austin so we can go vinyl shopping.

now sit back and watch the gay remarks start flying at me...

Purist mentality. I'm so glad I moved to digital.

Thinking about getting CDJ200s. Digital is so much easier it looks like. I mean, you can buy so many tunes off places like beatport and all the trance label websites...it's amazing!

I just got back from Antones Records, Waterloo Records, Cheapos...NOTHING! NOTHING!!!!! Austin is such an anti-EDM place.

Negative. You just have to get to know people. Dirks mom works at Waterloo so I visit there regularly.

die.

I'd be surprised if you found any EDM vinyl at Waterloo, Cheapo, or Antone's.

I would recommend Dj Dojo (if still open) and Turntable Records (same).

I doubt they have Trance. Its either close-minded Drum and Bass djs or Gay House afficionados running the show.

No trance. I looked for an EDM section, none! This is the waterloo on 6th street and Lamar right?

If anything I wouldn't mind seeing a walk in CD Shop like CDJShop.com

Having all the latest EDM on CD. Even a few rare CD Promos selling for massive cash. That would be a quality shop. Also carring other accessories from various labels and what not but I dont see that happening so w/e.

Yea thats the only waterloo in ATX, as far I know. It's really rare that you'll find any trance records at waterloo, just because of the fact that when tranceheads find them there, they'll grab them...and they go quick. The second owner, Mike (or maybe he was co-owner i never really asked), always used to tell me to get there a little before opening...usually around 11am or so. I was lucky if an the EDM vinyl came in the store that morning from UPS.

Sad thing is, I even used to skip school for this. Then again, I'd do anything to get my hands on trance vinyls, especially after the big theft in my apt.
