Yeehaw!!! Summer Vacation!!!
Woohoo!!!!
Finally, after having 2 week long vacations during the last 2 years (because of strikes), I'm not doing absolutely anything at university until 12th of March.
It's the perfect summer in a tropical country: rainy days, stormy nights and... and... heh, I don't even remember what summer vacation is like
Oh, well, spread the love! ![]()

Maaz, in less than two weeks I'll be finished with school completely (at least for now) and in less than two months, I'll be finished with my position on the project that I'm working on and then I'll have a HUGE vacation! I can hardly wait!

| Originally posted by Lira It's actually a few difficulties foreigners often have in Japanese ![]() 終わらない -> 終わってない: It indicates a state of "not having finished", more appropriate to the sentence. To me, "Owaranai" sounds like it's not going to end. 仕方がないですね -> 仕方がないんですね: You can't really get "nai" along with "desu" directly ![]() Other than that, we often find some resistence, until we reach intermediate level, when we try to drop the "desu/masu" endings we see at school and don't hear quite as often in spoken language - so, sometimes, the inconsistency might sound awkward (although it is quite natural... children in Japan, for example, learn to speak without "desu/masu" first, and we're the ones going the other way round ).But, I must say you're good at getting your point across and having studied about a year, I'd say you're doing quite well |
sup dude, good to see you alive and kicking!
how's the book coming? (*forgive me if i'm mistaking you with someone else
, but i think that was you)

welcome back lira
