The Bedroom Sessions: Official Thread! ON AIR NOW!

c0r Summary: If you have a Shoutcast server and want to stream a set for the c0r to listen to, bump this thread to let folks know you're on the air - Tracklist and record the set if possible, and we'll add them to the collecetion. Any and all genres from trance to trip hop and so on. Everyone is welcome

So in the interest of not creating a million threads each time someone is randomly spinning on a Shoutcast server, it might be cool for us to have a single thread for c0r DJ's to use whenever they're "On The Air" just for fun. I should note, I'm not trying to slag off Boomer or anyone else who has a legitimate radio show, just trying to provide a venue for others to share some tunes from time to time.

Whenever I play, I'll tracklist my sets in the first post so we have a comprehensive list of tracklists to look back on should this take off - Furthermore, if anyone else decides to play a "Bedroom Sessions" set, if you post up a tracklist I'll update the first post to reflect who spun what, when. For posterities sake, I'm going to post the tracklist from last week as "Bedroom Sessions: 001," tonight will be "002," and so forth and so on.

I hope there's some interest in this - If not I'm sure this thread will die a slow, painful death, alongside the majority of the rest of todays c0r highlights.

And basically, I'm expecting this to be a very loosely structured thing - i.e. if you want to play a bedroom sessions set and have access to a server, do it. I don't perceive a ton of conflict with timing, as I'm assuming the vast majority of sets will be played at random when someone simply has the time.

PS: Is this whole thing cool? I know there's a fine line between DJ spam and c0r activities, and that the whole radio thing has been an issue before = I just figured it's meant to involve c0r kids, and it's not at all exclusive (i.e. any of you are welcome to do it, with any genre, and pretty much anytime), so I'm hoping we'll get some diversity in the people who decide to flex their skills...

No reasonable request will be denied - As far as I'm concerned, if you're familiar with what I play, it's entirely reasonable for me to accept requests that make sense in the context of what I play.

This film I'm administering is about up here on campus, then it's home for a few things and as I said earlier, should be on in about 45 minutes to an hour

as far as i know, you're not breaking any rules with this thread. i think it's a good idea, and it'd be great to get a regular thing going with other c0r DJs as well.

just setup a shoutcast server thingy. It's not too hard. I don't really know how to do it, but apparently it's fairly easy.
