Lustral - Solace

Wow just came across this track today, I love it. It seems odd that I've never seen this track discussed here on TA, and get hardly any search results for it either.
Yeah just wanted to say that

Oh and does anyone know when this tune was made? Discogs says it was released in 2005, but I came across this post by aloep in another thread: 'Solace has been around for about 5 years, originally appearing with Evolution and Medway mixes exclusively on a Hooj album if I remember correctly'

Posted by Light The Fuse on Dec-15-2006 00:40:

dun think it got release in 1998 (when the lustral stuff was done) - and got later release in '05...

with benz and md mixes etc..

i think ?

As far as I know it's only officially been around since 2005.

It really don't sound too modern though, it kinda does sound years old. So it's possible some DJs or what not had a copy kicking around for a bit.

Either way it's a class tune!

Medway and Evolution remixes are from 1998 if I remember correctly so it's not really a new track. Solace is one of my favourite Lustral tracks

Yeah that's right. Deeper shades of Hooj 2 from 1998.

Another question, the 12" vocal mix sounds exactly the same as the original mix, whats with that?? is it just a case of mislabeled mp3s?

That's probably the case here.. as the 12" vocal mix is the only released 'no-remix'.

Is my word not good enough?

From their myspace page...

"Their debut Lustral album - 'Deepest Darkest Secrets' is due for a 2007 release featuring the singles 'Solace' and 'Broken'. The 12 track set will surprise keen followers of Lustral with it's eclectic, song-driven beauty - which also includes their timeless classic 'Everytime'."

I thought Lost Language was going to release this album but looks like it's now on Baroque? Anyway this will be one of the best albums ever, or I hope so

Can't wait either.

Track was recorded in 1997 at the same time as "Everytime" but was only officially released in early 2005.

You wouldn't know it from listening though. It sounds quite timeless.
