[DB008]Claude VonStroke 'Who's Afraid Of Detroit' Remixes
Claude VonStroke - Who's Afraid Of Detroit (Remixes) - Dirtybird
HOT HOT HOT...
It was always going to be a tough job working out a way to improve on the original, voted by Richie Hawtin as 'best track of 2006', and it's debatable whether these three huge remixes are actually any better than VonStroke's original anthem. What is indisputable however is that with names like Audion (who had probably the biggest selling underground techno record of 2006 with 'Mouth to Mouth') and Kevin Saunderson (where do you start?) on board you will get versions stamped with their sound and authority. And without a doubt both come up with very strong mixes that hold their own against the original. The real surprise here though is the Tanner Ross remix...this relative newcomer brings the track bang up to date with a bass-bumpin' rerub that will without doubt be rocking dancefloors worldwide...
Samples:
A1. Audion Remix
B1. Tanner Ross Remix
B2. Kevin Saunderson Remix
Lets just call it good music.
Purchase at your local record store.

There's also a limited 400 copy single sided 12" remix by 3 Channels which is absoltutely brilliant, but only available from three record stores across the globe.
Tanner Ross is a Boston guy who's part of "The Bald and the Beautiful". I can't wait to hear that mix
He's put out some good tuneage under the "B & B" moniker and they're gonna have stuff out soon on Odori (SWAG's Label) and Dirty Bird

saw CVS the other week and he played a remix, not sure which it was though, wasn't as good as the original anyway
I heard a Stanton Warriors bootleg. Not much to it, really, just took out the 4/4 beat and added a break. But... it was awesome... if you're into breaks more than 4/4.
Tanner Ross is nasty!
