Sharam@Space Review

Not a bad house night, my feet hurt and it was great seeing everyone.

Rich u missed P.A.T.T. place exploded when it came on!!

Posted by DarkAngel on Dec-17-2006 13:15:

Gonna try to piece together a review, since my brain has nnow been reduced to matter reminiscent of confetti.

Opening DJ, Oscar G:

monotonous crap
repititive
low BPM
All good mixing exact for about 2 times where he mixed what I assume was "too quickly."

Fail.

Sharam.
Higher bpm prog house craP
nOT as repitive
didn't stay long enough but mixing seemed on point.

Fail.

Overcrowded club
Shit vibe

Fail.

Leaving the club to listen to trance in the car.

WIN.

Overall it wasnt a real bad night OG did play different this weekend. From Miles Dyson Tunes to the Steven Lee Remix Of Ralphs tune . The Cheshire tune destroyed the place.

Now Sharam was pretty impressive at times. Got to hang with him for like 10 mins once he went on. The muther****** plays request!!!

Grashopper sounded good in a huge system, people loved it.
SvD - Rush
Spirit Of My Life Original Vs Second Sun Remix

Oh yea and I hate Armins managing staff ...

And I missed P.A.T.T, I was really tired I worked from 7-9 yesterday. So I left at 530a and missed it...

Was gunna go but i drive by and i saw maybe a hundred people and this was at 1230. Was gunna say i was on laura's list for free admission but I'm sure that woulda been even more trouble to get in. Didnt seem like i missed much though. DA did you have to crank the volume all the way up to MAX in your car to enjoy that trance? That system in space fucks your ears up for days...

Nah, Kel Kel and I were fine. Still, man was it ever overcrowded last night. We didn't expect it to get so packed. The thing that REALLY had me going were kids stringing, glowsticking and raving with photon lites. Raving to house music? For Christ sake.

I wish. I should have brought my PSP and played Nintendo/Super Nintendo on it while the 'show' (if one could actually call that crap a show) took place.

Posted by LiquidX on Dec-17-2006 20:25:

YEa me and my friends tried to get in.. it was about 12:30.. and I dont know where you saw 100 people. I saw well over 500 people mobbing that place. IT was rediculous.

completely agree. i was not impressed at all. very mediocore. i dont think there were more than 6 or 7 songs played with any energy and i was there from 1 to 4 30. i even found myself yawning at times.

way overcrowded as well. they didnt ID anybody so there were teeny boppers every where helped the overcrowding. i cudnt even stand for more than 10 seconds without getting bumped into by 10 people. im wondering if i shuda gone to mansion to see bad boy bill. doubting now if i even wanna stand all this shit to see armin and spend new years there

It can be done with he right beat. But my thing is they had them on all night?? Sheesh for the passed few years SPACE didn't allow them in there. Now they do. I'd tear that place a new one. The only thing is if they try to take them like I've seen them b4. If the do I'd end up leaving.

The beats last night were def. NOT the right ones IMO. The kids didn't last that long with the lights though. I was just still shocked and appaled to see them being used.

Here are the few pics I took last night.

No people pics 'cause I wasn't in the mood to take any.

I'd have to agree with the review. I was very dissapointed in sharam's set. I left around 4, and that's unheard of for me.

I was surprised Oscar wasn't playing the usual crap he plays. He left most of his dark tribaly proggy stuff at home. Still was rather mediocre. He's go from a track that has higher energy than the one before it then slow back down and play some repetetive Zzz crap, then back to a decent track. Set never really progressed much. Every now & then he'd stick in his trademark sound byte with the voice saying something along the lines of "welcome to space" and the crowd eats it up. The crowd vibe wasn't that good so that could've helped in the overall synopsis of the night.

Sharam... =0/ First couple of tracks had me yawning and while i was leaving i could tell it was getting better but I felt tired.

I was drunk tho so that saved my night. No hangover FTW

Absolutely agreed on that first part. The 1st time (and only time) I saw Deep Dish as a whole was at the old Club Space on 4/20/02 and they did a REALLY good job that night.

And no, no Armin at Space thus far, meng.
