To Me, Trance is More of a Boy-Girl Thing

You could share your favorite tracks with your male friends, of course. But in my opinion, trance is more a passion genre and it fits more when you share it with your gf. Most of my favorite songs are about love. I'm guessing I'm one a few people who see it this way.

I agree. To me Trance is ALL about personal interpretation. Depending on my mood I can find a way to adapt the same song to my current feelings. Unlike other genres, like rock, that have dominating lyrics that "guide" you into a feeling/interpretation about the song, Trance take's a song and adapts to the listener.

Edited to add.... Also, I feel that EDM songs with lyrics are more about the melody of the lyrics complimenting the song than telling a story. The lyrics CAN fit a story, but it doesn't override the song itself. (i.e. If your feeling heartbroken, a rock song with a love theme may make you upset, but a trance song with "lovey" lyrics may not, because you can adapt the overall "theme" of the song to not be depressing)

I think songs with lyrics kind of take away the ability for you to feel how you want about it. I mean, you can, but the lyrics are already telling you what the song is basically about and sets the mood for it. This is why I think I like electronic music as much as I do because lyrics aren't common in the tracks and it allows me to interpret any way that I want to.
