Download speed problems...
Letely when I download off AG, my DLs seem to be going SO slow! Slower then usual. I'm on 28.8K and I usually connect at 31.2 kbps and I still do but, my DLs have slowed to about half that (1.6 kbps) or even lower sometimes! To about 200 BYTES/ second! WHY is this? What can I do to control this? I notice that this problem ONLY has been affecting AG NOT other DLs (like Web, etc.). Has anyone else had this problem and doesn't normally have it? Let me know...
If youre DLing of someone who doesnt have a broadband connection, your DL rate will be affected greatly by their end. I.e. if theyre surfing while transferring a file this is going to slow it right down.
Well get along to any shop and buy a 56k, they r very cheap. That wil mean you can download faster, and the TA servers r busy, so that is maybe why, otherwise you maybe connecting slowly. Try downloading else where. Ofcoarse you can only download as fast as the person yuo r downloading off

DNS Errors...
Well, I'm unsure of the other user's connection but, I DO have a 56K modem. The problem is that since I always get DNS errors whenever I connect at 45.2 kbps, my ISP gave me a Init. String that forces the modem to go at half speed (which is 28.8K)... If anyone can help me out with my DNS error problem, PLEASE let me know! My ISP has given me EVERY solution to this problem and NOTHING has worked... My modem is a PCTEL Platinum V.90 ("Winmodem")...
Well change isp, or get a new modem. Heh. Never heard of a prob like that before though
It's pretty simple: if you don't share, you get shitty speeds. you need to have at least 20 mp3 files in your shared directory b4 you can d/l more than 1 file at a time, and this usually means that you will be able to download 1 file very slowly.
If you have more than 20 mp3s in your shared folder, then I guess you're just trying to get a really rare file.
