Dirty South

What is your fave Dirty South remix?

...and is there an artist like Dirty South that has a whole album of this style of music?

Posted by trancepunkk on Dec-18-2006 05:39:

dirty south is shit....although i do like his mix of the things you say by cicada

Posted by meneedit on Dec-18-2006 07:35:

Wow, you people really dont like this style of music do you?

I thought I would try and approach it from this angle but i'm still not getting anywhere.

Look... all I want, is a couple of albums full of this so called "electro house" which all of you despise.

Please help me

electro house is fine but he really is a shit producer.....just fucken download any of the mos annual series albums from 05 or 06 to get some similiar (but also mostly better) songs

He played a killer set in Vancouver on Friday...I was really impressed...not for the trance fan obviously, but some fun dirty chunky house.

I loved it.

i like his style , heavy basslines ... funky beats , works well on dancefloors

check out , depeche mode - just cant get enough ( Dirty South Remix )

Check out any of the latest Ministry of Sounds CDs from Australia or look for artists like TV Rock or Sneaky Sound System.

omg i dont honestly dont know how people see this.....almost all of his remixes use the same incredibly repetetive beats and boring build ups....most notably his remix of its too late and bimbo, there are far better remixers out there that arent destroying good tracks.

as a dj he is technically sound and gets a place going but as a producer he has almost no variety and doesnt add anything good to a track.

If you've heard the Original Evermore - "It's too late", you'll see why that remix is shit, they didn't change much.

Posted by trancepunkk on Dec-18-2006 15:32:

it was a completely different genre and it was a good song for its genre, it didnt need a remix........and there are several other examples where he uses this exact same sound and shit build up

I like Mind Electric - Dirty Cash (Dirty South Remix)
and some Cicada Remix + Depeche Mode - Just Cant Get Enough ( Dirty South Remix ). But still not my style they have some bad remixes but i couldn`t say dirty south i very good , i prefer tocadisco at electro ...

Sneaky Sound System.

nah, no way. The rest of their album is very un-electro (at least in the way DS is).

It was bound to happen though, you can tell.
Evermore - "Running" is another one that i'm i'm waiting for
though it's been absolutely whored to death here in NZ that if i hear it again someone will die.

Yes the rumours are true. We have split and are working independently.

Unfortunately, there will never be another Tonite Only show.

We thank you greatly for your passionate support.

Enjoy our songs, remixes and Mashed III.

Watch out for future solo projects.

Unreleased tracks to come.

2006 has been great.

Fuck Tomorrow!
