What would you do...

...if you came to work but all that was left of your work is empty space?

i've heard of these kind of stories before but when it happens right in front of your own eyes it's a different story.

so ya basically my boss (owner of the gym where i worked at) took all the equipment over night and took off on everyone. the place is empty, he even took the sink! he owes every personal trainer money, some of our own equipment that we have brought in there, and some clients paid for a year in advance!!! it was fun watching their reaction this morning when they came to train and found out this mess. You think the client that paid over $1500 for 48 sessions last week was happy?? I had to hold her down and explain to her that by breaking the windows it doesn't help the situation.

all i got to say is wow. now i'm stuck without a job. anyone hiring?

I used to go to a private college in st.kitts to do computer certifications (MCSE, A+, CCNA and Novell). 4 months in, I go there in the morning, notice on the door saying they are filing bankruptcy and not too long before that, an asset transfer was done so they dont loose all the hardware.....******s

To make it worse, I had 2/3 of my tuition already paid in advance...which i was able to recover about 2.5 years later as the school was governed by the private vocational thingie therefore they had a bond.

Overall i still lost $1500 in the process.

The worst part was to find a school to complete what i was trying to do...with no money! We got lucky by bringing our teacher with us to another institution and worked something out...!

Never trust anyone with your money!!!

apparently they don't sleep at night, they work like crazy clearing out full gym set ups... that shit's got to be hard work, he must have been at it all night!

yeah that's what I'd do. Hire all the juice monkeys you work with as bouncers and bring in a bunch of DJ's and promote your ass off. Throw the sickest party TO has seen in years and make a killing (since you won't have to pay to use the space), then live off the revenues until you can get back on your feet.

when life hands you lemons (empty warehouse space), make lemoaide (killer uber rave with $10/person tickets!)

and no malek this is different b/c this gym has been running for 3 years now and some of the clients have been there for entire full 3 years and plus some trainers there have known the guy for over 5 years!! this is totally out of the blue. i got like 15 calls today from different clients, some just crying into the phone when they came there realizing they had just lost the $2000 they paid last week, others threatening to hunt the guy down for their money. i just told them while they are at it, if they could also pick up the $400 he owns me!
