BBC Radio One - Weekly radio shows that never disappoint...

Besides the Essential Mix, which other weekly radio shows never let you down...

For me, it's Annie Nightingale....this week's show is no different...stellar....

Terrific place to hear fresh new sounds....

these days i am really into Eddie Halliwell's show plus sometimes i would catch the saturday warm up.

Residency was awesome when Jon O Bir was there. I loved that show with Jon. Better than EM.

But just to add on besides BBC ... Hernan Carl Cox and Diggers weekly shows get a huge auidence as well and are awesome to listen to.

i wouldnt consider this spam since the initial post is asking for people's opinion on what radio shows they listen to.

you're still bitter about del closing those energy105 spam threads because a couple people decided to say "hey! listen to this radio show on energy 105.1!!!".. now that is considered spam.

Posted by oldschool420 on Dec-19-2006 07:19:

LOL this is not spam. It's just my older brother sharing his love for music and trying to find more good tunes

100.7 or 89.5 forgot which one on a friday and saturday night. i get horrible reception with 105.1 in my area

"the artist of the week" specials are great...usually people you have never heard before...with some really unique mixes

as i said..local shit is always considered spam whereas anonymous international is not.

Support your own!

Whatever... to be honest it doesnt even matter because i get no benefit whether people download and listen or not. I just thought initially that it would be cool to share my own personal contribution to the music world. But obviously not the case. And when i try to point out the hypocrisy, people make me out to be a bad guy.

But hey, im not the one that loses here.

^Not to worry. It's all good, man. I appreciate your recommendations, including international AND local ones. Much appreciated...

John Digweed's radio show on KISS 100 runs every Sunday at 3am in the UK, but it appears that it is only available to UK listeners...

You can, however, listen to his latest Transitions show directly from his website...

I know you to be an intelligent guy so I fail to see why you keep rehashing the same INCORRECT point.

Where do you see an international radio show being promoted here? Are you that blind to not recognize the difference between a fan asking people what shows they enjoy and people associated with a radio station pushing threads related to it?

This thread is NOT promoting anything in particular whereas the ones that were closed are. What makes this concept so difficult for you to absorb?

Your threads regarding your radio show downloads were closed and/or merged into the download thread (where they should go) -- just as any other download related threads go to.

You like to make these all-encompassing statements without providing direct examples to support your claims.

Posted by Jayx1 on Dec-19-2006 16:04:

So if i were to start a thread exactly like this one except regarding local radio shows it wouldnt have been closed?

It could go either way - but - there would be a high probability of closure if you posted a thread saying you love show XYZ at radio station ABC when I know you have a direct affiliation with either/both.

I sincerely doubt the thread starter has connections with BBC and is using this thread as a means to spur more online listeners.

Posted by Jayx1 on Dec-19-2006 16:12:

but my point all along is that i get absolutely ZERO benefits from trance addicts listening to or downloading my show other than perhaps "good job" or " ididnt really like when u did...."

I have no affiliation with any radio stations at all. In other words i receive absolutely no compensation for the work that i do. this is why i am free to make both positive and negative statements about all radio stations in the GTA.

All i wanted to do was share the music with my peers on what i considered to be my social group. Instead i get called a spammer whilst threads like this continue to get made.

Again its far beyond the issue now of anyone listening to whatever. I dont care anymore. Now its the principal of the matter that gets me upset.

Its very typically canadian to support everyone but your own. And threads like this make it glaringly obvious.

The principal of the matter is that THIS THREAD IS NOT SPAM and you still fail to recognize that.

Stop mentioning how your download threads were closed because as I stated prior, they were either closed and/or merged with the thread they should've been in in the first place. You would only have reason to complain if I treated international downloads/shows/DJs differently -- and you have still failed to provide *ANY* examples of this.

You know all these things yet continue to make comments as if you're oblivious to my responses to you.

Reading comprehension is not your strong suit apparently.
