i used to go to school in rochester. my sister is now at school there.

not much going on in rochester, i highly recommend visiting the toronto forums!

My hometown is near Roch, and I used to take the ferry to toronto every weekend.

Once in a while you will get a good DJ up there (jollins played up there I guess in November)...just look out for good talent.

In the mean time check out Dragonfly in niagara and everywhere in toronto (guvernment, docks, sonic, foorwork, etc etc). Worth the couple hour drive (or ferry in the summer) to head up there.

I went to Univ. of Rochester. There's not that much in ROC but as already noted, you may want to drive to Niagara Falls to checkout Dragonfly. Also Toronto has the BEST club in the world, Guvernment. They throw the sickest trance parties. I went there many times during my time in the ROC.

I miss the garbage plates they served by the bar my cousin used to work at.. I think it was called Lucky's?

I have a great time in roch, and I dont know a whole lotta fat depressed people there....matter of fact I recall quite a few hotties when I came home for the summers Too bad they are all abercrombie-ish, which I am not a huge fan of! Too white boy for my ass!

PS: Why is it that everytime we talk about Roch, the garbage plate comes up? lol good shit.

amdmaxx: ohhh brighton? Isnt that for rich(er) kids?

HAHA it is pretty easy to get depressed if you live in that city long enough as you have witnessed around you, my dear friend.

There are a few hot talented students at the Eastman School of Music who DJ at local clubs. But honestly, I just go to support my friends.... I think they have better futures as classical musicians....

So sadly, the only option is to go to Guvernment because that would be 10000000000000000 times better than anything in Rochester.

Oh, and I have no idea why people keep mentioning garbage plate because I still haven't tried it...... ?????? hmmmm

former RIT alumini aka brick city aka deaf central aka whatever yo want to know it as...

point being - i had a horrible time there, i got kicked out of the city of Rochester lol and basically crawled back home to NYC.

don't know how much more i can contribute to this thread except for lighting up the hearing impaired building from UofR basically LIT UP the sky. =)

Posted by apple4life on Dec-20-2006 14:36:

nope, rich, old, retired people live in Pittsford.

Brighton was selected one of 100 best high schools in the country... I'm sure there are exceptions but most of them seem to be coming from good backgrounds
