Dunno Do you like Christmas?

I am not a huge fan of X mas, its lost its luster since being small, I think the eight years I worked retail killed it for me too.

Posted by Cuzo on Dec-20-2006 18:19:

I did retail for a decade and I wish it was everyday.

But dont you notice its so tedious and most people get so damn mean, shopping is hell, parking lots are hell, I just wanna go to Walmart to get deoderant and its a freakin zoo!! I do like the food though. I just love sittin around the X mas table and being asked - "so do you still go out and party?" it happens every year since I started and told my brother I did it.

Posted by CAKE on Dec-20-2006 20:31:

since the only family i have in Canada is my mom and Dad Xmas is not that exiting for me but i don't mind it

Generally I like it. Its just that the spirit of Christmas is all but gone. People are rude, pushy, and just plain jerks. Shopping, hell just going out onto the street always results in a 2 hour drive. Far too many hassles.

Posted by Killah Monkey on Dec-20-2006 21:05:

I like spending time with Family and friends, but the present buying is commercial and influences us to spend money. It also causes undue stress, which I do not like.

But I like having paid time off from work to regroup before the new year.

Posted by oldschool420 on Dec-20-2006 21:07:

Meh. Christmas is good for family, but I agree the present buying in nonsence. We no longer do that.

Posted by Killah Monkey on Dec-20-2006 21:29:

Worst thing is people get offended when you opt not to do gift exchanges... especially at work... You end up buying something the person does not need and turns into junk anyways... just for the sake of giving a present. meh

No to hijack of holidays. (Then again, Christmas is a hijack of another pagan holiday)

Who can say no to 2 days pay with no work, come on!

Posted by psiico111 on Dec-20-2006 23:06:

I said no. If you aren't a kid and don't have kids I think it's basically a waste of time. I can hang out with family and friends anytime of the year, I don't need a holiday to tell me when to do it. I hate Christmas carols, I hate every commercial on tv telling me "makes a perfect gift," I hate the "be nice, it's Christmas" sentiment, be nice all year or shut up I say. It's just all so fake to me.

Bah humbug.
