Review: DNA, Abdul & Mark Oliver @ Boom Boom Room - Dec 20
Not many people who post on this site were at this party, but I have a few minutes to kill before I go to work.
I totally underestimated how big this party was going to be. The Skybar was packed! I actually wish they had the party in the mainroom...I dunno why they didn't. Oh well. The candles along the red carpet going up to the Skybar was nice though
I got there really early b/c my friends Derek and Andrew (DNA) were spinning. They did a great opener, and really got people moving right away! Then Abdul came on...great frickin' set. He played a remix of...crap...the name escapes me right now, but it was an 80s song. And he played a few tracks that sounded like 80s song. For those of you who know me, you know I would have loved them - which I did! I love the 80s! I need to send Abdul and email and find out what one of the tracks were.
Anyway, Abdul's set was great...like I said, the place was jam packed. Too much for my liking...people constantly walking through the dance floor and pushing everybody. I NEED MY ROOM TO DANCE!
Mark started really great. Unfortunatly I couldn't stay too late though b/c I had to get up early in the morning. But definatly a great night.
I have a few pics I'll post later.
~Edit~ I just read through this review and realized I didn't have too much info on the tunes, other than Abdul played a lot of 80s sounding music! Haha...sorry guys...I was a *little* tipsy.
i had somehing to do with the tipsyness!!!!
yah lisa had no idea it was going to be that jammed or we would have done it in the main room. Jesus at 11:00 we were jammed with a line down the block.
It's always nice to see people come out in masses to see mark, (thats just how good he is)
yah on a wednesday.
