Sia

She's incredible. Both of her albums are stellar, especially the first one. And her guestvocals on several Zero 7 tracks are great. Discuss

love her voice. very intimate. not to mention breathe me is a stellar track.

Much respect. From the first Zero 7 album, she's been pretty stellar imo. I've admittedly only heard one of her solo albums, but Sia - Breathe Me (Ulrich Schnauss Mix) is one of my favorite productions of all time, and the original ain't half bad either. She has such a mature voice, it sounds as if it's out of an older era.

Speed Dial #2 is prob. my favorite collaboration with Zero 7. She did a cover of Paranoid Android for a Radiohead tribute album that was... well, interesting. The sample is on Beatport I think.

her cover of paranoid android was good.

It was, it just wasn't what I expected on a Radiohead tribute. Very Tori Amos-esque.

there's some good tracks on that radiohead tribute cd. osunlade's cover of everything in it's right place is genius

I generally trust your taste in music, so I may have to check that out.

By the way, while we're on this topic, do you know any other artists similar to Sia? Tori Amos and Fiona Apple are similar in some ways, but I love the simplicity of a Sia track. She and Emiliana Torrini are two of my favorite musicians to put on whilst chilling.

i dunno, it's not really that hard since it's like contemporary pop tracks, with like r&b influences in sia's case and more stripped down guitar & vocal thing with emiliana. just look in the top40 and ignore the britney's and others

lol, I live in the US. Britney is all there is.

Jem and a few other artists are similar to Sia, but I can't find any I like as much.

If sex had a voice, hers would be it.

i could never understand how people liked that one over the original. the original is so packed full of emotion and this one just kinda kills it. almost like a watered down version of a masterpeice.

depeche mode - little 15 (ulrich schanauss mix), now theres a track that rivals the original.

to each his own though I suppose.

I must say, i agree. I have yet to hear a remix which i really like.

Heard on Zero 7s tracks first than I caught wind of Breathe Me.

mesmerizing - honestly.
Heard the new track - Pictures, not sure what to make of it - def. not Breathe Me.
