shiloh - vice (with luke chable remix) - out now.

It's finally here... the first release on our new label, Floppy Discs. Some of you may have heard the original mix on Platipus Records' recent Addicted compilation.

Side A is the original mix, with Luke Chable's amazing Frock Rockn' Socket Remix on the flip.

love the original, not AS keen on the remix, it's not bad but it's not quite as good

heard you're working on a new album, is vice an indication of what to expect, or is the sound going to have moved on much more by then ?

I disagree, actually I find the music they produce like the logic follow of their previous. They could only evolve like that imho.

I disagree with this.

All this "evolve" nonsense is pretty silly. What is evident is the growing fanbase being disgruntled which probably consists of people from the old school fanbase. You "evolve" but yet neglect the original fanbase? Is that how it works nowadays? Then again, who cares. There is plenty of other talent to support. Electro is the "cool" thing in 2006, everyone is on the bandwagon. Even Oakenfold is spinning it nowadays. (see recent t/l)

What is even funnier is when artists who "evolve" decide to label their changed style as it still being "progressive". But when you listen to it, its clear cut-throat electro. If it is progressive, then ask Jacob Todd, Micah, Blake Jarrell or Beaumont what kind of music they produce and why it is different.

GOOD LORD THIS IS A FUCKING TUNE

will definetly be playing it for my first show

From the Beatport sample think I'll probably pick up the original mix over the Chable Remix.

i just bought the original mix, i fuckin love it!! sooo good, but the remix you guys did for brisker & magitman - eden is just way to immense, downright nasty! keep it up please!

and come to calgary for fucks sake!

Too much electro for my likings. I wonder what 2007 will bring our way......

The Luke Chable Remix is SICK!!!!

Posted by Zharen on Jan-23-2007 06:42:

Eh, boring stuff. Even worse seeing Luke Chable producing shitty electro now. Bring back the 2004 Luke Chable plz thnx.

Both are pretty cool, with orig being noticeably better to me.
I'm still abusing Bleed btw - SO fuckin good

I am too lazy to look up Shiloh's comment re: evolving sound (somewhere on hybridized).

Basically, I say you can't keep everyone happy.... so as artists, it's best to produce what makes you (personally) happy.

Props to Shiloh - Justin and Colin were my producers of the year.

at first i had the same opinion...when john askew played luke chable rmx i said(inside of me) y not the original..after some djs playued the luke chable rmx i found it ver very attractive ...the reverses etc etc in addition with stronger electro elements its a perfect track for clubs...
but still its really difficult to choose one of them...

really nice work shiloh and luke chable

Totally agree with you here. I cried when I heard Oz and this remix of Vice. I guess we have to accept it......
