RIP Mr. Brown. Can't believe he died on Christmas

jesus killed him kause he was lonley on his birthday and wanted someone to sing and dance with

Kinda weird, but this just popped in my mind:

James Brown dies at same time as Gerald Ford.
Ray Charles dies at same time as Ronald Reagan.

I hope that for the love of god James Brown gets more media attention than Ford, but I know he wont Just like how stupid Reagan hogged the news for a fucking month or somethin.

Also, celebrities always die in THREES! Who is the third?

wow...that's some ignorant shite right there. it's not a popularity contest on who gets more exposure, is it? you're going to try to compare or outweigh an entertainer's life work as opposed to a public servant? one who served as president of the united states, no less?

i hope you understand the significance of gerald ford's presidency as well as his ascent to the position. and, this is not to say that i'm belittling james brown...b/c my man...formerly the hardest working man in showbiz...has made a profound impact on my life as well.


furthermore, what attention either gets is most important to you, no? not what's plastered on the front page of the ny times (and just to let you know, both ford and j.b. are on page a1).

Right, like you are in fucking mourning. When Reagan died, the outpouring of media attention and love was obscene. Ray Charles pretty much passed without so much as a whisper in comparisson. I'm sorry if I care far more about great timeless musicians than mediocre to bad presidents. I was expressing my sentiment that I hope there wasn't a repeat of that.
James Brown was way more important and influential to our history than president Ford in my eyes. So piss off you colossal phony.

sorry guys but James Brown was a drugged up wife beating thug...'Godfather of soul'...dont make me laugh!!...R dean taylor,,,curtis mayfield,,,arthur conley etc etc are....you people chose this guy as the figure head for soul the same way as you choose PVD as the godfather of dance with no fucking knowledge at all of who went before him...fuck him,,,and i hope his wife gets every penny for all the beatings she endured....

i, for one, haven't placed van dyk as the godfather of dance. however, i can confidently say that j. b. was dropping the ill funk waaay ahead of his times.
