Dr. Trance radio interview on the toronto rave scene
I thought some ppl on here might be interested in checking out the Don Berns (Dr. Trance) interview I recorded. From being around parties for many years I've always appreciated what he did to promote and share the music he loved the most.. and especially now that he's in retirement I hoped to have him hit the mic and talk about those early rave days...
what I got was alot more then I expected.... 45 mins of him talking about what got him into raves, trance and everything...

hope this doesn't come off as spam, I just wanted to share what i thought was a really good interview
i listened to this and i think its a great interview.. i cant wait for part 2
Re: Dr. Trance radio interview on the toronto rave scene
Heard this yesterday - agreed - very worth the listen! I wish I had attended some of those early parties but I suppose things happen for a reason.
...that talk of the CN Tower rave in 92 or 93 brought back memories - back then my programming/Comp Sci partner in High School was into raves but was pretty hush-hush about it and would never tell me much when I tried to get info. Oddly enough, I recently found out a while ago he's been producing DnB tracks since around that time and is known around the scene as Visionary. Small fucking world! Anyways, Marcus is spinning Saturday at D666 - I hope Dave Whalen makes an appearance too so I can say hi.
great so far!
thanks
his voice is so familiar (duh)

Interesting interview.

good interview. he sounds like John Derhinger who used to be on Q107
Great interview. It was very educational.
I've always wanted to experience a warehouse rave or parties in other weird locations like airport hangers, etc. It totally does make a party a thousand times more exciting then at the same club over and over. Parties like The CN Tower rave sound fucking legendary.
