Literally...

Dogs, bats, Kentucky Fried Chicken and barramundi will grace dinner tables across the Asia Pacific this Christmas, a festival celebrated with lots of cheer, and very little turkey, in this mainly non-Christian region. And we can't bring a stick of salami over the border???? WTF? Different culture or not, isn't it illegal here? You would think law of the land would preside over a cultural request (remember- this is not a religious practice).

WTF?????

Posted by djozzy on Dec-29-2006 16:18:

Dogs eat all kins of shit, like meat, other animals whatever they can chew. you are saying eww but a pig eats more then dog like its own shit.
I dont eat ham as meat or rib but i am not going to take the pepperoni out from my pizza either. Would you eat dog pizza, even there is no difference then pepperoni?

Guess what. People from different cultures eat different type of food.

Scots like their haggis.

East Africans eat gazells, giraffes, etc.

Some Canadians and Americans eat moose.

So what if some Asian cultures eat dog? Just because dogs are common household pets, it's wrong that people eat them?

DEFINITELY. If its deemed illegal here than its illegal and there should be no 'special circumstances' for religious practices.

But as ppl said, nothing wrong with eating dog (we dont do it here and find it odd, but that dont make it wrong that others countries may eat it as commonly as we eat lamb, say.)
