last song of the year=touch me (a&b remix), first dj to blow me away in 07=sander van doorn!

i will be smiling for days because of last night. absolutly incredible. sander was spot on with his tunes and the club was perfect. everyone who knew what they were witnessing was front and center giving it up for sander as hard as he was laying it down for us. this guy is legendary. abdul and ian did an amazing job before and after sander. i can't remember the last time the energy from the main act was carried on so well by the dj's after him. no one was ready to leave at the end. amazing job guys! what an incredible night

Remo, not only do you have an amazing club that facilitated easily my best new years EVER, but you're a stand up guy too. thnx for the hospitality and taking us in can't wait for round two @ schulz!

without a doubt. there's definitely something happening and i can't wait to see where it goes!
there's just something about his musics energy. it's so raw. it's perfect in a club because it is completely infectious and you can't not move to it. it's hard and has enough builds to blow your mind but still has melody. honestly, i can't imagine missing him for any reason if he's in or around town.

Thanks for the kind words Gypsy!!

It was great meeting you and we hope too see more of u at the club in the future!!
Hope your ride home was safe!

The last track I played before Sander came on was Cassandra Fox - Touch Me (Mike Koglin vs Jono Grant Remix)...followed by AULD LANG SYNE (the traditional New Years Song)

The crowd was phenominal...Thanks everyone!!
Congrats to Remo & Renaldo & The Boom Boom Room for a fantastic NYE Event!!

Happy New Year and All The Best Evryone!!

i don't think the night could have gone any better for me, from the fun/ party vibe in the building to a truly epic main set from SVD...he kept taking the party up a notch when i didnt know there was room for more...craziness i say!

it was a pleasure to meet some TA's that rolled through the club (Gypsy, Cenik, Lisa Loo etc.) thank you guys for adding to an already great NYE and i look forward to seeing you guys in Windsor again

WOW. That is the easiest way for me to sum up the evening. Everything was perfect, from the smallest details - the door men at the club, the servers, everything. But, most importantly - the music.

A great warm up set from abdul, nice track selection and flow, and great energy - exactly what I wanted to prime me for Sander

Then Sander hit the decks, and it was ALL OVER. This man may be the best DJ out there at the moment as far as I am concerned. I love to see a DJ into their set, and feeding off the crowd, and That is something that Sander has mastered. The track of the night for me:

JXL - Beauty never fades (I am assuming it's the sander van doorn remix of this track, if not please correct me)

Sander also played a remix of the killers - when you were young, excellent track also

I was worn out after Sander so, I didn't catch too much of the closing DJ - but what i did hear was great

Thank you to Remo for setting us up with the hotel packages, and for a world class event in a small city - cheers, and happy new year

Amazing night!
Music was awesome, crowd was great and the over all atmosphere was tops!

Remo, thank you so much for providing us with such a wonderful way to ring in the new year here in Windsor!

how the boom boom room owned me

first off Remo bro u F@@KING ROCK!!!! Truly a world class event is a small city...the man even busted a move on the dance floor...
on to the review...
the night started off sik with havin a smoke with Remo and Sander in the back....I asked Sander to play Control Freak and he played the shit out of that tune...Sander signed my tix...Sander put the "BOOM BOOM" in the Boom Boom Room....non-stop hits....HE EVEN MIXED SOME JAMES BROWN into his set which was so proper....Abdul and Iain killed it b4 n sfter....the Mark Oliver tune was proper as well...
Nick/Jen/Sonja u guys TORE up the dance floor...Remo u might have to replace the tiles in front of the dj booth...
TUNE OF THE NIGHT---the whole 3hrs of Sander...Control Freak/Lethal Industry/Punk/Dance 4 Life/the track with James Brown over it was crazy.....
cant wait to hit BBR again....

Time for my review

Last night was easily one of my most memorable events yet, and it was without a question the greatest NYE I've experienced.

I have to start by saying a very sincere thank you to Remo: I cannot believe how kind you were throughout the night. You did an amazing job with the club and everybody had a great time. Thank you so much for everything: from getting me into the club at the start of the night, to the shots at the bar, to all the handshakes, and especially for inviting us back to your place. It is all very much appreciated--Sonja, Jenn, and I are very thankful! Partying at your club is definitely something I will be doing again!! And, of course, meeting all your friends back at your place was very enjoyable: everybody was really cool and all the girls were sweet-hearts! I had some interesting conversations with April, Jess, and so on...I would love to see those people again (I took down Jessie's cell but Remo feel free to give her my MSN (in my sig)).

The event was so good! The crowd was very friendly: I met and partied with too many people to mention, from randoms to TAs. I have many wonderful memories of partying with so many people, including a) running into Chad again (fucken amazing! Thank you for all the drinks, for introducing me to all your friends (including your lovely g/f), for welcoming me to your chill-out area and so on....just great partying with you!), b) running into an amazingly fun TA woman who I had met during one of my first trips to Guv a few months back (it was so great to see you again! Sorry it took so long for me to comprehend the background story you were trying to tell me but when I realized who you were I was so happy to see you! Great times hanging out and dancing with you! You're such a kind girl . Definitely hope to party with you again), c) seeing Alex aka LOT2005 so many times (I am so happy I got to party with you dood! I had a blast with you and your g/f. I'm very pleased you were there last night bud, had so much fun with you!!), d) partying with Simone aka ItalianPoison (always awesome partying with you man, I know you had a great time last night, pleasure seeing you!), and so on. There are SO many others who I enjoyed partying with and they all know who they are

As for the club itself, Remo did a wonderful job with setting-up the place. The different levels to the club, the different rooms and numerous bars, and so on, are all great aspects of the venue. I absolutely love how close the crowd is to the DJ, it's such an awesome setup. So, what about Sander???? HE FUCKEN KILLED IT!!!!!! Anyone who saw his set last night can easily see why he's my favourite DJ! He interacted with the crowd all night and never stopped smiling. His girlfriend was awesome: she looked so happy throughout the set and truly looked like she was having an amazing time--she kept me pumped up the whole time b/c she was loving her b/f's set! Sander's set was, as to be expected, very hard and I loved it! Some of the tracks he dropped...I just went nuts! Lethal Industry!!! His set was just incredible: he was into the music from the second he took the decks to the second he stopped playing, he is such a crowd pleaser! Above and beyond the set itself, I had the pleasure of getting a few autographs, shaking his hand, getting a picture, and having a few small chats with him. I told him that Ontario loves him and that he has to come back to Toronto and he was like 'oh for sure, definitely!'--easily the friendliest DJ I've ever met.

IAN and ABDUL you guys were fucken awesome!!! Hahaha, the second you guys started spinning after Sander I remember asking you to keep the tunes really hard and you guys were like 'oh ya, of course!'. Ian I fed off your energy all night buddy, you were awesome: I loved looking out at you seeing you smiling and having a sick time!! Abdul it was absolutely a pleasure meeting you: we had a couple great conversations and I really appreciate you taking the time to chat with me. You two were both incredibly friendly and I am very glad we got a chance to meet. I definitely hope to see you two again soon (in between the crazyness of university life!). Also, Abdul closed the Boom Boom Room with a yet-to-be-released Mark Oliver trance mix of Arcade Fire - Rebellion. What a track!!! That was a sick tune to close the night with: it was easy to sing along with and just a great way to end a great night! Keep your ears open for this tune guys!

Sonja and Jenn: I am very very happy we all partied together. Thank you very much Sonja for driving--I know it was hard on you but we appreciate it very much. Thank you to you two for bringing me along, I had an amazing night!

I'm looking forward to seeing all the pics/vids as they emerge! Also, thanks to everyone for the Happy New Years txt messages

All in all, it was a wikked wikked night! Remo, again, I owe you one big time, I am so thankful for everything bud.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to my greatest New Years ever!

Oh man, I cannot match your face to your screen name! You gotta post up a pic so I can remember you! Typically at clubs I do much better remembering real names as opposed to TA nicknames. All the best!!

Everything went perfectly.
Sander played a fuckin bangin set, I could NOT stop dancing.

Much thanks to Remo for hooking us all up and giving us a place to chill afterwards.

Will write a more detailed review later. Right now - sleep.
