A TA's worst nightmare.....:(

Well as everyone knows last year Jay and I partied for 3 days on New Years!!! all trance!!!! This year stuck in Utah I was stuck with dancing to hip hop and Rap music......... I just wanted to cry. Only thing people here play is shitty hip hop and retarded rap music. Wish I was home for newyears!!! you guys/gals in TA land are so much better and 100000000000 Times more fun!

i have to agree with jenny somewhat.

i dont like genre bashing period. may it be hip hop country rock house trance or whatever. these are all artists that invest their time and efforts into putting something togather. it is quite alright not to like their stuff because its not your cup of tea but to bash them just because you personally dont like it is not a kool thing in my opinion. i personally cant stand country music. guys singing tunes about their girl leaving them for another guy who has a better chevy truck is just not my thing. but i will never take credit away from those folks because atleast they have some talent to bring forward to their fan base

ever thought about people who are not into EDM think or say about our fav. djs or their music

not necessarily. i'm not a fan of much hiphop/rap because i've heard alot of it and i can't stand the repetitive lyrical content. it's hard to find clever, insightful music when so much of the genre is saturated with crap.

Anything on the Stone's Throw label. MF Doom, Madlib, J Dilla (RIP), etc., etc. One of my fave albums is Madvillainy.

There's more to hip hop than just the rapping. Just like "our" music, there's a whole subculture and history to it...that if you knew about, you wouldn't bash the genre.

i wouldnt say top 40 is lacking in quality either. hip hop is in a HUGE transition and theres not alot of top songs talkin bout tits and ass.

Actually there's a lot of good stuff going on in the mainstream. Kanye, Talib, Common, Mos Def...it's about time we got some REAL talent back.

But yeah, hopefully you like the stuff I suggested.
