REVIEW: C&C @ SONIC (X-tend Your New Year 2006-2007)

Well it's been a while since I have been able to make it out to hear these guys, and I gotta say I was lovin' it!

Got there sometime around 1'ish to hear Hector Romero spin for a couple hours. He put down a great prog set with some nice teaser vocals here and there. I missed him last time he was here due to work, so it was great to make up for that and hear him this time.

C&C took the tables between 3:15 and 3:30 and kept things on the hype tribal 'iberican' side from the go! They just tore it up with the drums within a short while, it was awesome!! Few hours later they threw down some dirty ass dark beats, and that's when I got sweat in my eyes and man did that shit burn! LOL

Overall I gotta give the night 2 thumbs up cuz those guys know what to deliver to their crowd and do it well. Was an awsome closing to a very LONG New Years weekend. Going to crash for a few hours now, lol.

Many thanks to C&C and Hector for tearing it up, Gairy Brown, Carey Britt, Russell, Nevio, and the rest of the staff for making it such a fun and accomodating night.

relentless slammin' tribal all night long! they never cease to amaze me. had to leave at 9:30ish because my body couldn't handle anymore, but i definately regret it after all the text messages i got afterwards saying how they were still destroying the place!!

Great sounds, the lineup was insane.

It was a GREAT night ! As soon as Hector came on I knew we were in for a fabulous night. Wouldn't it be great if more nights at Sonic could be this much fun.

wethere it were on a fri OR a saturday, Calderone is one of those Dj's who is VERY popular among gay partiers... so it looks like if that were to bother u, u wouldn't be showing up anyways

OK. so just got back from toronto. holy fuck c & C were just dirtttty. i love tribal. got to sonic after lawler. first impression, def a lot of gay folk rubbing it up with each other which kinda tripped me out at first but went to the patio for a smoke and saw lawler there and i told people that it was lawler and everyone said i was triping out... but i wasnt. went back inside and found some friends and then started to jam. i was on the main floor right side most of the night. if u saw this asian guy given'r in a black shirt, that was me.. hehe ill post some pics from here soon. didnt take too many cuz i was just givenr

fridays, yes.

saturdays, not so much.

NYE was definitely more of a straight crowd this year, and NYD was obviously the 'gayer' of the two nights - but who didn't expect that after the crowd they brought last new years!?!
