Evil1 The dance floor is not a Zen garden...

So dont just stand there in the middle of the dance floor with your arms crossed and get pissed off when people dancing get into your standing space, at least tilt and wobble from side to side. if you want to be a wall flower do it at the wall, we dont need gardens in the middle of the dance floor.

If you're a total expert on dancing, you should learn how to dance around other people.

There are tons of people who like standing in the middle enjoying the bassline, bobbing their head without having to move.

I had my first sweaty, HAIRY, shirtless, slime N run experience at the Zone on the first. Its a good thing I was a bit twisted otherwise I would have seriously freaked out.

Exactly, as much as it is annoying to have ppl standing on the dancefloor if you really know how to bust out then people make space for you.

I remember a while back at the guv a group of sketchies decided to sit on the dancefloor ie cuddle puddle. Well MO would have no part of that shit so he actually stopped the music, got on the mic and told them to learn some respect. f'in ACE!

I find it ironic that someone who does lightshows would comment on other peoples partying preferences. I personally cannot stand light shows, I dont care how good the person is....they frankly are a nuisance.
If I want to stand, and absorb the sounds of a DJ then let me do it, if you want to juggle light orbs to zombies then so be it.

That...and then you get hit by glowsticks and those guys trying to do stupid dances even when you're dancing and they clear space IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DANCEFLOOR so that some ppl would sit in front of them and watch the lightshow...talk about a hypocritical post

the first time i saw a dude getting a lightshow was at guvernment
and i literally thought i went on the homosexual night

lightshows look stupid, take up space like mentioned, and looks like the guys giving a BJ

i think of it as an excuse for the lightshower to get a man near his *****

well said!

in fact, in a crowded club, someone just standing there actually takes up less floor space than someone dancing (or using glowsticks).

Ever try moving through a crowded club? It's easier to stand and rest on the dancefloor. No need to hate on resting.

I would rather see someone standing there, doing nothing, (I don't understand it), then watch someone dance to a different beat.

Where does this other music come from? Any answers?

Bahahahah I know who you are on about Trainwreck dancers to perfectly mixed tracks. Scarier than a horror film on Hallowe'en....

Posted by Flec on Jan-03-2007 19:39:

ideally space should not even be an issue, so stop arguing with each other and tell the guv to fuck off

thats the main thing that annoys me when im at some club.. find a corner and play wit ur glowsticks ..."dancefloor" is for dancin..hence the name!!

Posted by Orbitus on Jan-03-2007 20:36:

I think our 'scene' is all about tolerance and enjoying yourself the way you like. As long as you are not deliberatly being anti social like the people that push you away with there backs at the Guv.
Have fun and let others have their fun.

Surely people can dance with glowsticks, can't they? And not be labelled a sketched-out junkie, while I'm at it?

From their heart perhaps? Just as some people sing offbeat, not everyone can dance perfectly. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be allowed to do it.

Maybe hypocritical in that some people that do lightshows mentioned what you posted but NOT the poster (from what I've seen in here anyway). People that sit on their ass in the middle of the fucking dancefloor piss me off to NO end. People that stand there as well for LONG periods of time without doing anything (but they aren't as huge a deal.
