help me get even pls c0r

for christmas eli got us a room at the best western so that i could have a night off relaxing and not being a mum.

Years back, i worked at a hotel and my shift manager was a total bitch, always making things difficult for me, she always made sure i worked the midnight shift, critized my dress code, and called me self righeous because i didn't smoke and didn't want to go to their sex party and fuck a bunch of soldiers from the base. Anyhow, i left that job and moved on with my life.

When we checked into the hotel, SHE was the girl that checked us in. I was nice, she was fake. The stay was fine and life went on. TOday, i get a letter from the hotel stating that my non-smoking room had the distinct odour of cigarettes and therefore a $100 charge was put on my credit card to clean the room, signed by her. If i wanted to smoke, i would have booked a SMOKING ROOM.

Anyhow, my mum saw the letter and called the hotel and this bitch answered the phone and my mum told her that the charge needed to be reveresed and whatnot. I would like to deal with this myself, i am going to write a letter to the manager, and send a copy to head office. I would like to know which aproach i should take to deliver the most sting...:

a) Explain what happened and tell them i am offended and that my family has been using this hotel for years and durring my wedding i recomended this hotel for my friends and family to use and now we would not be using their services due to this error... also throw something in about how i pride myself in being an honest person blah blah

b)Explain what happend and tell them that i understand that it was an error and i trust it will be fixed so on and so forth...

anyway, i'm bloddy pissed, this is total bullshit and i don't want to mention that i know her to make it even more personal but i want her to look like a tool when her manager gets the letter....

Don't mention you know her, they'll think it's just a personal immature attack. I say option A. They'll take you seriously, and know that you're mature enough to handle this in a good manner. Don't be too mean but at the same time let them know they cannot get away with it either.

but to be honest, I wouldn't write a letter, I'd make a phone call. The manager is more likely to be empathatic when you are right there on the phone. With a letter, they don't have to deal directly with you and can have as long as they want to dwell and think on the issue. If you are on the phone, they will more than likely want to just resolve the issue right then.

option a, followed by option c: phone the bitch, tell her it's not your fault you didn't want aids or lung cancer & ask her to let you know when she gets emphezema so you can go laugh at her. harsh but you'd feel better, promise

Now that you have her signature, you can forge anything you want. Send a nasty letter to her boss and make it look like she wrote it, muhahaha.

that totally sucks. i'd call up the main corporate number. bitch out that entire hotel to their uppers. demand stuff too. tell 'em service sucked, beds were horrible...just plain everything about your stay was a nightmare [bugs, mold, etc...etc...] get the bill reveresed and demand a free nights stay or something.

Idiot people like her aren't worth revenge. Take the high road and just contact the manager and get your money back, then move on. You inconveniencing yourself over this is probably all that she really wants anyways, so don't play her game.

I used to work for Best Western too and I know that you could call the 1-800 number and give her a complaint - hell, pm me her info and I will do it too! she sounds like a fukkin bitch to tell ya the truth!

I know there is a compalint line at the head office, cause I once got one! I really fukked up one time, that's another story to tell sometime!

well i'm not going to lie about anything because i try really hard to be an honest person. I don't want to demand anything either because it's not really the hotels fault, just hers. I've called mastercard and she hasn't returned the money yet and because she ran it through it has overdrawn money from my card (c'mon it's christmas) and so now i will get dinged with a $25 fee, well maybe i'll ask that that is reimbursed. Who knows, i guess i was looking for more ideas on how to complain in a professional and effective way, but i do appreciate all the evil suggestions as they make me laugh and feel better.

and you're right, the best thing would just be to get the money back and move on, i'm just having a hard time not being really pissed off because this was just the icing on the cake, i had sucessfully forgotten about her and what she did to me but this just opened up an old wound.
