Pop.

Totally evil, but so damn catchy. So, what irritating shit is stuck in your head lately?

For me: Scissor Sisters - I don't feel like dancing

Many people here listen to lots of pop that calls itself trance.

This piece of shit is driving me nuts. Not pop, but hip hop.

The term would be Hip-Pop.

No pop song is stuck in my head, because I stay clear of the garbage.

Don't remember the last time I heard a pop song. And I hardly ever listen to AVB regardless of my sig.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Jan-05-2007 06:25:

Because it puts you in a coma?

Posted by trancepunkk on Jan-05-2007 06:34:

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Jan-05-2007 06:36:

I don't think I've ever heard that song.

Posted by trancepunkk on Jan-05-2007 06:44:

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Jan-05-2007 06:52:

Well, I don't listen to the radio and I happen not to hang out with anybody who listens to much pop.

Me either. But I'll probably check it out on Youtube (once I've had a sufficient amount of beer to ensure no memory of the occasion).

Posted by Sushipunk on Jan-05-2007 07:01:

I'm also terrible with Abba songs. So embarrassing. Accidentally getting caught singing along to Dancing Queen while not paying attention

Posted by RapidFire on Jan-05-2007 07:11:

wait, these are songs that are guilty pleasures? cuz not all pop songs are bad. my love is a very well done pop track imo

Not necessarily a guilty pleasure, just that catchy shit (engineered JUST to be catchy) getting stuck in your head. And you love it, despite the fact you hate it (in principle).

Which song were you referring to, incidentally?

Posted by Lebezniatnikov on Jan-05-2007 07:32:

The entire Justin Timberlake album is phenomenal actually. My Love and Sexyback are really well-put-together pieces of music. And the girl in the Sexyback video is teh sexay.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Jan-05-2007 07:38:

Nothing wrong with some good fun pop.

Damn. You guys almost make me want to listen to it, despite the fact that it may well end up lodged in my head for some time.

Oh well

Another tune that had me for a while is Eskimo Joe - Sarah. It's an Australian band, so a bunch of you guys may not know it... More Pop/rock.

Soooo catchy IMO. And they look so...lame...?

Actually, though not pop, I have had in my head here and there lately:

Well catchy
