Which websites have you had success with?

Job wise..

I know we all use them.. but I was wondering if they actually work? Have you found and gotten a job through a website, and if so which website?

i.e workopolis etc..

Use a decent, specialist board instead of the generalist ones.

Better still, use a decent, specialist recruiter.

I will recommend Monster.ca since they give me money.

Thanks.

That's like finding a needle in a hay stack.

This one gives good results, but only if you're a girl

i'd say it depends a lot on the type of work you're looking for...

sometimes it's better to go through specialized headhunters as you might find better fits and a higher paying jobs that aren't advertised on boards like workopolis...

speaking of jobs..

I NEED ONE!

I can't believe how hard it is to find a damn job. Everyone wants experience. WELL WHERE AM I GOING TO GET IT IF NOONE IS WILLING TO GIVE!!

Graduated from Electrical Engineering 3 months ago...

Job websites are good for finding out what's out there, however referrals/recommendations from friends or co-workers who have jumped ship are invaluable. Obviously personal merit is also very important; nonetheless it's sometimes hard to get your foot in the door. It's what you know as well as who you know!

Remember people; don't burn your bridges at any costs because you never know when you will need them.
