The Chinese stole Air design from Russians?

Mig 35

The single engine says no. Completely different handling and aerodynamics.

But they both have wings, surely evidence that China stole the design?

LMAO Euro trash humour

Did some research. Russians and Chinese worked together. The Russians made the plane similar to their mig version. The only real difference between the two. Is that the Russians are not going to use their Mig since they don't have money for it. Also because they prefer the SU-35 to be their main fighter.

OMG a modified delta wing with canards just CAN'T be made by more than one firm concurrently without espionage!

Mr,

Im not liking your attitude.

Did you read the part where I said. Both nations were working together. Which is why the plane looks Russian.

I was going to say, it probably has something to do with the fact that they worked on it together...

^^ Yup. Doesn't surprise me.

Sometimes countries sell the plans and blueprints to their
allies. Just like the AK-47, lots of foreign factories make
them besides Russia. And some change the name from it's
original.

Man, you should study the plane aerodynamics more at university.
These planes are quite different. Look on the tail of the plane, completely different design with 1 tail against 2 on SU-35.

Russians were colaborating with Chinees to make jet engines and some of avionics stuff. As I understood, the aircraft design was made by Chineese.

I've found one very interesting video about OKB Sukhoi's SU-35 aircraft. It shows the main aspects of the aircraft in military action. I really like the aerodynamic of this plane.

You totally missed my point.

And the entire premise of this thread is naive and uniformed.

If you went solely by looks, then both of these would be a rip off of the French Rafale and BAE Systems Eurofighter 2000 aircraft. Each of which have been in production for several years.

But of course, the evil Chinese had to have stolen the design from the Russians, there is no way that two different design teams would come up with similar looking designs without there being espionage involved.

Making mountains out of molehills seems to be the pastime of a lot of people in this forum lately.

Did i miss the point again

At my first glance, I thought it looked like the EuroFighter or Rafale, but I didn't know of that new Russian rig.

Pretty cool beans, copied or not.

I've always liked Russian planes. The Su-27 and MiG-29 were awesome.

Posted by star-traveller on Jan-07-2007 19:54:

Watch that movie I gave a link on few posts before. It shows the SU-35 aircraft which is advanced multi-purpose version of SU-27.

Posted by pmoisse on Jan-07-2007 20:16:

^^ neat video & cool plane. Looks like the intro to a video game

Posted by star-traveller on Jan-07-2007 20:40:

yeah, this video is kind of funny, a lot of CGI, but it gives a generic information of what this aircraft for and what can it do in a combat.

Posted by star-traveller on Jan-07-2007 21:10:

I've just come across on an interesting article about Jian-10 aircraft.

It seems that Jian-10 is a primary competitor to Russian middle-short range fighter Mig-29SMT. Its public presentation took place on 5th of Jan in Bejing. The Jian-10 aircraft uses Russian engines made by OKB Salut. Chineese have already built around 40 aircrafts which are used by Chineese military, also they're planning to start export of aircraft to Pakistan.

Also that article answers to "metalgearsolid" question. It says that the aircraft design is very similiar to the Israel LAVI-1 aircraft.
Of course both nations are denying the fact that Israel has ever shared any information with China.
