submarine forces still use paper, pencils, and calculators

In case with Normandy they even will be two steps ahead of us.
And I don't see any problem in EMP blasting your own territory.

You do realize what EMP is/does right?

They might as well nuke their own territory while they're at it...(not too smart)

Yes, and some countries are developing combat systems that work well in any situations. The use of electronic devices is helpful but not mandatory to win a combat.

True, the human element will always screw something up.

Probably why us dumb Canucks can beat the Americans at their own Top Gun competitions

For all we know the developers of these weapons
have shielded their products from EMP interferance.
A great sdvantage US Forces have is night vision,
we own the night. But that won't last when we fight
a competant enemy.
