Not any more - but they were similiar shifts for sure! I work at a retirement home with a 7-3 or 3-11pm shift. i usually do the 3-11pm shift - but this wanker needed the day off! oh well, I am a good girl and I said yeah - and there are beautiful guest suites here to stay in!

i get up at 6:30 and start at 8:30, so my life is worse.

Complain all you want. I worked for and industrial refrigeration company in Seattle. I had to wake up at 4AM and be on the road by 4 30 to be there by 6 AM. Work 12 hour days and fight traffic and get home by 8 PM just in time to go back to bed to wake up at 4 am.

noon to 10:30 PM Mon. - Fri. here, not bad, not bad at all, plus my job is fairly easy on the physical level...manufacturing/tooling engineer.

Posted by DrunkenMaster16 on Jan-08-2007 05:18:

My next job seems to be that I have to be outta my house by 5:50 - 6 am then 2+ hour drive and im there for 8 - 10 hours then 2+ hour drive and im home yay! That only for afew months though (training)

Still better than working night shifts and getting paid hardly anything for it. Can't wait to start working offshore... 2 - 4 weeks on 2 weeks off.

I can relate to that. I did the same in a corner store. Had to wake up at 4am, started my shift at 6. I had to leave the house while it was still pitch black outside (even in the middle of the summer).

And about a year before that, I worked a night shift in a gas station. Woke up at 6pm when the sun was down. Got home at 7am when the sun was starting to rise and went straight to bed. Basicly I didn't see any sunlight for three consecutive months.

Posted by Chris Crossland on Jan-08-2007 09:04:

I'm up at 4:30am to PT, then at work by 7am - 5 or 6pm. I'm used to it though.

Posted by dallastar on Jan-08-2007 12:03:

well I am here and that is all I have to say right now - I couldn't get to sleep - I think the last time I saw was 2 something

4 hours sleep b4 a 8 hours shift does NOT cut it!
