I admire his solo career more than his work with the Heads.

i don't think you'll be flamed because talking heads are somewhat cult band. my favourite songs are and she was, road to nowhere and burning down the house. and psycho killer of course

why would there be flames? talking heads are legend.

(i always felt david byrne's solo stuff was sorely lacking in both the soul and originality that he exhibited with the talking heads: seemed as though something got left behind when be decided to become a more 'serious' musician...)

Love there music.

Byrne grew up round the corner from me. Deee, you've got a fantastic taste in music. First Smiths then this. Wow. Awesome. My Dad seen them live when he was around my age and they were his favourite band back then. I think they are inspired, quality band.

Also, AFAIK, it's 'Talking Heads' not 'The Talking Heads'.

And for the record I think they are class. Unique - my fave tune is 'And She Was'.

Haha , they even had an aalbum called "The Name of This Band is Talking Heads"

"The title of the album is the group's response to the general public's constant and incorrect reference to the band as "The Talking Heads."

i was pertaining to getting flamed because I prefer his solo work over the group. see, i think it feels much more ... grounded, as if he'd come full circle and his solo work was the roundabout completion of his journey and maturity... or something like that. just listen to this and watch it. he's come full circle, found home, done all he can do and it ends like this, his masterpiece:

what other way to end a career?
