Beetseekers - Out Of The Blue Moon [J00F Recordings]

Beetseekers - Out Of The Blue Moon
Releasedate: 13-02-2007

01. Blueshift
02. Damascus
03. Exegetics
04. Jakarta Sunrise
05. Lullabye (feat. Marcie)
06. Mind Vision
07. Out Of Limits
08. Reflections 07
09. Synergy
10. Synthesize

J00F kicks off the new year with a brand new release from one of Finlands most talented acts Beetseekers.
I first came across Beetseekers back in 2002 when J00f played Synergetic Pulse in his Godskitchen set and been following him since. Even though he haven't released much through the years it's impressive to see the amount of quality in each of his releases.

Out Of The Blue Moon is for all lovers of melodic trance. It's mellow but never geets cheesy with vocals (not even the Marcie track consist of any song).
If you are a fan of Miika Kuisma this is your pick.
Also look out for Beetseekers remix of J00F vs Wizzy Noise - Endalexia which is a banging remix to be released later in spring on J00F Recordings.

Will this actually be a real release?

This is another release to look forward to

Any samples available yet?

I'm really impressed with this album. Got my promos yesterday and was pleasantly suprised at the production and the nice flow for the album. Doesn't really fit into my DJ sets, but is definitely a good release - I highly recommend it for you trance fiends.

wanna say, just listening with headphones instead of on my speakers & I'm totally uplifted by the chord progression in damascus. Not had that feeling for a long time

Havent got the whole lot listened to yet, but so far this is absolutely outstanding.

Great album indeed!

Posted by RebeL9 on Jan-10-2007 15:45:

have been listening to this a couple of times now and I must say this is easily the best melodic trance I've heard in a very very long time. Not even Miika Kuismas album was good as this one.
Keep up the good work Simo and keep us updated with future releases/remixes

Btw, the version of Lullabye featured on the album is a dub mix instead of the original full vocal mix. Probably fitted in better with the rest.

No clue if the original vocal mix will be released or if anyone even wants it..

Simo, correct me if i'm wrong.

From the samples:

"Blueshift" and "Damascus" sounds pretty cool, though I liked "Exegetics" better.

"Jakarta Sunset" sounds very nice from the sample and the vocals are very nice aswell. Good synthwork aswell

"Lullabye" Feat. Marcie has also some nice vocals, the break is absolutely amazing, This has to be one of the best tracks on this album?!

"Mind Vision" sounded pretty average from the sample. "Out of Limits" has a nice vibe, breakbeat aswell is good.

"Reflection 07" also pretty good, maybe more massive than the rest. The break in "Synergy" is absolutely amazing, Great work! Too bad it ends before I get to hear the whole thing.

"Synthesize" is perhaps my favourite track of this album together with "Lullabye" and Synergy". Very good stuff.

I'm definitely picking up this album, That's for sure

True, original would have been bit too different for the album. And knowing John isn't the biggest fan of vocals I decided to rework a dub.

Anyway I'm glad to see that people like different tracks on the album . Synergy is perhaps my own personal favourite (longest track on the album), already supported by Solarstone and couple of upfront Finnish djs. It's remake of my old EMT release "Synergic Pulse" that was released in 2002. Very meaningful track for me, without it perhaps I would never been noticed and signed to JOOF in the first place

Took a listen earlier today, the album sounds very nice indeed..
Maybe it's time for me to create a Beatport account, because it doens't look like labels will be switching back to regular cd's anytime soon.

sorry abit off topic but whats happened to "Oceania" regarding a release??? its been ages

Posted by RebeL9 on Jan-10-2007 18:32:

yeah I'm surprised as well. what happened to Oceania?

Posted by breakaholic on Jan-10-2007 18:45:

Oceania, still waiting to be released on Deepblue. Last time I talked with Rich about it, they were planning to get another remix. We already have Santerna remix. Another, even stronger release in Deepblue in my opinion will be "Sonecta - Skyride". It's fully reworked version of my remix of "Van Bellen - Let me Take you". Of course without vocals.

So I'm sure Oceania will be released but seems it's really taking it's time now. With Oceania they also plan to release my older track "Echoes" that also John played in couple of his sets back 2005.
