Question for the americanos (canucks too)

Do you, or do you not know of a card game called Snap?

Posted by TweeK on Jan-09-2007 16:03:

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Jan-09-2007 16:06:

Nope. But I don't play cards.

Posted by Ygrene on Jan-09-2007 16:08:

I do not.

I know of it and have played it several times. If I recall correctly it is quite fun, however, I have not played it in several years and do not recall the rules.

I do not know. It must be a Canadian thing. I mean c'mon, they eat french fries and gravy!! Crazy bastards.

So then why do you guys use the term: "Snap!" ?

I figured that meant you knew about it, looks like some dim chick on another forum was right, it isn't known over the pond

Is this for n00b pwnage purposes? If so then yes, I love to play Snap! I mean sometimes my friends and I just gather around and play Snap for hours!

I find that with many things British you'll more readily find them still practiced in Canada but not in the US. I suspect that this is largely due to the fact the US cut ties to Britain more then a hundred years earlier then we did... and we only partially cut them at that.

I'm not sure that ever took off here... we have much bigger game... tell you what, how about we go for some Carabou instead?

According to wikipedia (omg my professors hate that statement) snap is similar to egyptian ratscrew which is popular here in the US (and which I love playing)

Never heard of it here in the backwards Southeastern U.S., sorry. We do have a game called "redneck" in which the participant's last words are always, "Hey ya'll, watch this shit!"
