Getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow
soo... im getting all 4 out tomorrow... any tips ? on how to recover the fastest with the least pain hehe...
there was an identical thread by Killah Monkey from summer I believe, search button is your friend
the pain killers your doctor will give you help
nothing else u need to know except your face is going to resemble a hamster with all the swelling and all, good luck
I am afraid to go to the dentist because I know he is going to tell me that I need to get my wisdom teeth removed. For about 4 months now, they have been growing, and reeeeeally hurting my mouth. Recently, they have been ripping through my gums and making it bleed. GOOD LUCK JONNY! Let me know if it hurt!

Simple.
Oxycontin, as much Pink Floyd as you can, good headphones (Shure make primo ones)
Lay on bed and fly for a week.

i would suggest a. good pain killer b. washing the side with the growing tooth with a warm solution of soda + salt

i didnt have any pain. although i ended up in the hospital 2 days later with an intestinal bug. This would be my advice. if u dont need to take the antibiotics, dont. I did and it killed off the good bacteria in my intestines and allowed the bad ones to get out of control. I was in the hospital for a week surviving on an IV. have fun
I had all 4 pulled..2 at a time though.I was lucky and mine were not encaved.I was given novacaine and was awake for the whole procedure.I was given hydrocodone.Recovery was quick and painless.Just don't smoke because you do not want to encounter dry socket.Best of luck to you
after you get them yanked ... get an ice back put it on one side for 15 minutes then the other side for 15 minutes ... keep doing this for a few hours ... the next morning you wont look like a chipmunk
I went under to have mine out. I agree 100%.. keep the ice going consistently. I had some minor complications with my removal (left bottom tooth was so impacted and practically part of my jaw bone) so my recovery was a bit rough. If they give you T3's, remember to take some fibre pills or something - That damn codeine bungs you right up.
recovery food of choice for me - french onion soup
Thanks guys.... i just got home from it... they put me totally under... started me off on nitrous which i didnt feel a thign from maybe cuz im used to it lol... then upped me to I.V Fentanyl and valium.. what a ride journey
and about the pain killers he said im gonna get t3's ... at which i laughed in his face and said u must be kidding lol.. so he upped me to endocet (generic percocet) and im high as a kite lol and dont feel anything ... should be fine.. hopw i get a refill
lol .. just minor swelling for now . but ice helps that....

| Originally posted by Abercrombie +1 best advice! I actually did listen to Pink Floyd, and a lot of Robert Myles as well when I had them removed. Headphones are mandatory. Oxycotin FTW. Under any circumstance, do not have your dentist sedate you and remove them with pliers. You don't want to be awake and see that Ogrish coming out of your mouth. Dental surgeon is a must. |
i had two removed with pliers - uncomfy, yes, but the shot they gave me made me lose all sense of feeling on the corresponding sides of my mounth for hours, it was just weird to have two ppl attend me and have 2 tubes sucking stuff out of my mouth at the same time and all... but didn't feel anything
