The "Game to Movie" thread

Just thought I'd create this tread to inform you all about the games that are being made into movies. So far these are the video games that are being made into movies:

Dead or Alive
Crazy Taxi
Silent Hill
House of the Dead (http://www.house-of-the-dead.com)
Doom
Duke Nukem
Max Payne

Don't forget about Quake and Resident Evil

final fantasy

I know that there was a movie based on a flying/space game but I don't recall the name of it. btw Final Fantasy the movie was produced by Squaresoft but it wasn't based on any of the Final Fantasy games. Just had the name.

Doom, Duke Nukem & Max Payne as movies. COOL

There never really has been a true sequel to a Final Fantasy game so the movie just follows in the same footsteps. Therefore the movie was named Final Fantasy and made by the same company that made the games (Squaresoft)...LoL trust me dude it's a "game to movie"

Doom's been in the making for almost 10 years now (well, at least 5) ... I doubt it'll ever come out.

exactly my thoughts. every story in final fantasy is different. therefore the movie can be accepted as a game -> movie.

Resident Evil was the best of the game-to-film movies ever so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved it!!! its my favourite horror film yet!!

and otherwise.... MAY PAYNE will be a wicked movie!!! it better have bullet-time...i hope id doesn't rip-off the matrix....which shuld now be made into a game..that would kikass

And MGS wasn't announced yet man...they're "talking" with Konami about it...Silent Hill has been announced... Which is just as good (well, not really, but still good)

hehe im really happy their making all these new video game movies my only fear is that they will suck......they trackrecord moves them that way...though they are getting better in resident evil and final fantasy....though i was a bit mad at RE as i began to realiz it had nothing to do with RE save a few zombies the licker..and a few refrences..oh well still better then most vid movies

And the film is great too!
