Resignation

After a very long time, ive decided to hang up my boots.

Overall, I've had a laff. I had alot on my plate doing what i did which i think was a lot more than some people realised. I've taken a break for the last 3-4 months as some of you have noticed (thanks for the digs at that RJT, even tho i explained on msn what the deal was) but i've decided to take my leave.

I'm trying to avoid turning this into a saga of a thread, but i think most people here understand the deal. I tried so hard along with many other mods to achieve something here, but ultimately it was just treading water.

Swamper will be taking back the role of username change, unsuspensions, forum access, account problems and all that which i also dealt with.

I'll still be around online, msn and #ukta, and i'll still brouse and post now and then, but as for spending 3hrs a night modding, afraid those days are over.

Don't know what else to say really.

I always thought you did a good job. What could you have "achieved"?

Cheers Coupers. See ya on MSN.

IMO and many others, the site hasnt involved. It is in the same position it was in 3 years ago only with a larger forum base.

This site had, if not has, massive potential and if a setup such as I:vibes with reviews, interviews, site design was incorporated into the forum the site really would a complete EDM site, instead of a forum floating around based on EDM lacking motivation.

No need to apologise for the excellent volanteer work you've done here on your own time
Stay safe and happy.

Ah my time here is like yours, infringed upon by circumstances of real life getting in the way.

I do appreciate you sticking up for me in the past though

I can't recall ever sticking up for u but u've always been a cool cat so im sure it's happened.

tbh real life never got in the way. I could find the time to devote to ta in the next year as i did in the last, however i no longer have the ambition to do it.

The point about reviews & news is a valid one too, though that in itself would require even more volunteers and work. Organizing more sections is of course a difficult undertaking to set up and maintain as well, so it's easy to see why it hasn't happened. Lastly, a quick co-sign to the posts of thanks, speaking from experience modding a site of this size is a time consuming job, lasting this long is an achievement in itself.

I kind of understand your frustration. TA have every potential to become the leading EDM space on the web. However the question remains. Do we want it that way? What kind of people will the site attract? Probably the same that is flooding trance.nu's forum
But I agree. Reviews, interviews and such stuff. that would be awesome. Especially since there are so many producers and DJs lurking around here.
anyway appriciated your work through the years. good luck in the future.

Sorry to see you step down mate, you did a great job.

Posted by Ojay on Jan-13-2007 16:12:

Indeed, this site has some potential to become "ourtunes.com".

Swamper wants it or not, that's it.

Coup, sorry to see you go mate, but it's understandable. Thank you for all the help you provided me and with transferring one of your many responsibilities to me. Best of luck with your new endeavors!

i agree with coupster. I think this place would have been ten times better RA and other sites about music. we rock!
