Review: DJ Irene @ Guv

All I've gots to say is WOW

After the last time DJ Irene was at guv I was a little skeptical about this night but she brought her A game tonight. Hard banging house with just enough trance to get your heart rate down so she could build it back up.

MOs opening set was okay....too much electro and that just doesn't do it for me. I only heard a bit of his closing set and it started off great but by 5 am my legs were dead to the world.

Didn't see many TAs out tonight...oh well...it was definately your loss.

shanny, lisa loo, carney, dmnr and the whole crew were up in the drink rockin it out.

dj irene definitely played good tonight. nice and hard.

I only saw Jay, Shaya, and two other TAs

I saw you zoom by me...by the time it registered it was you...you were have way across the floor

i knew that was them...i was standing right beside them when i was in the drink. say shaya in the guv too.

dj irene definatly impressed. wicked set and just what i was wanting to hear.
left early cause my ride there had to go to work at 7am.
my body is getting in the mood for night shift hours (10pm to 10am) so i'm still up with head phones on listening to different sets.

good to see a lot of TAs out. i should say hi next time

DJ Irene was simply wicked....we got there late (2am) so it was a lil hard to get into the hard banging trance she was throwing down but by 3 all was good. Definately a must see for anyone who likes their beats hard and heavy!!

But holy shit whoever stayed till Mark was done....fuckin great decision!!! brilliant stuff from him as per usual but more so last night . Hard after Irene but slowly bringing the bpm down. As the BPM went down the music just got twisted! 5:30 to 6:30 was just pure filth. HAVE to ID a couple of songs that he dropped that made my jaw drop wide open. Unfortunately due to the fact that theres no way in hell i can even begin to describe these songs, that prolly won't happen.

The Encore was top notch...main room going off to Pete Heller - Simpler and then this other remixed tune that Andrea mentioned the lyrics from but I have forgotten

One of my better main room experiences in the past 4 months. These have been far and few between

That was so RANDOM when he just tapped me on the shoulder; WTF JAY!!! i was so drunk i didnt even really recognize you, hence the stunned look of who the hell is touching me now? lol

Good times up in the Drink, awesome tunage! Watched over guv for Marks opening set it was great socializing music, lol! Made it an early night last night but I will be back in T-minus 32 days for my BDAY-WOOT!!!!

Irene absoultely suprised me....started off with Divini and warning 4lb, at that point i knew it was going to be a great set, and it was!

Alot of bangin tunes, im very glad i made it out that night.

The drink of course was playing solid, solid tunes...Gallery, nice tunes also, but the place itself is not my cup of tea....Nice meeting Shanny and Lisa Loo....even though it was breef, seemed you guys had a place to be, thanks for sayin hi...

Those who weren't there missed probably the greatest Hard House Diva there is....she is the reason I got into EDM and she is the one DJ who I will make sure I see every time she is in town.
